Ballista Revolution

♣♦♣♦♣♦♣♦♣♦♣♦♣♦♣♦

I wanted to spare a moment to advocate my friend's devoted work in promoting ballista.

As many of you may be aware of, people have attempted to stimulate interest in Ballista in various ways, namely advertising on forums like Urteil and Abraham. The reason why they are better known is because they promote themselves. However, my friend doesn't do that. Instead he only focuses on his own work in conveying information through his blog.

Since he refuses to sell himself to the public, I'm here on his behalf to champion his contribution to Ballista that many people may not be aware of. Despite that he has hit over 100 Ballista-specific entries, I'm actually suprised of how very few Ballista enthusiasts know of his website.

I just want to throw this word out there to any remaining or new Ballista players so that they can be better informed of the current metagame.

Here is a link to his website for anyone who's interested.

Today, May 16th, marks a marvelous milestone in the annals of FINAL FANTASY XI: ten whole years have passed since service first started in Japan!

Vana'diel would not be the thriving community it is today without ardent adventurers like you questing and crusading all across the globe, and for that you have our utmost appreciation.

Speaking of appreciation, it's that time of year again! The Adventurer Appreciation Campaign kicks off today, and in honor of the occasion, we present you with a special message from the development team in recognition of all that you have done for the realm!

With excitement building as FINAL FANTASY XIV Version 2.0 draws near, we at the community team have decided that now would be an ideal time to host another event. We have painstakingly procured all-new concept art from the development team precisely for this purpose, which we will gladly share with our players…so long as they meet certain demands!

Which Servers Still PvP?

Hey guys Ive been playing this game for a good 5 years and after everything is said and done Ive had the most fun in the game playing ballista,
hands down, sure you get no rewards for it worth anything but the thing is... ITS ACTUALLY FUN unlike camping the same hnm over and over again.
Sadly on my server Diabolos, ballista slowly started dieing about 3 years ago, then died fully a couple months after that. Being loyal to certain people
on the server I didnt jump to fenrir server a while back when all the rest of my ballista friends did, since at that time, it was considered THE ballista
server due to all the darkhell, urbanmyth etc vids. It has come to a point that this game just isnt fun anymore and the only thing that could keep me
playing and having fun is ballista so I am just posting to ask what servers still actually pvp seriously and consistently, Ive heard fenrir is declining,
some people say siren is good, just want to know which is the best so I could go there. Thanks for your time and your help.

Disney's Purchase of Marvel...

So, it's been three years since The House of Mouse bought the House of Ideas. I was stunned, you were stunned, everyone shat their pants and ran for the hills screaming that the end was coming. And not just teh fan base; industry and Wall Street reaction was pretty vitriolic as well. Hell, S&P put Disney on it's negative credit rating watch list because of the purchase.

So, here we are, three years later. Did the end of either entity come to fruition? Were fans really stabbed in the heart?

Quite the opposite, it turns out.

The comics are going stronger than ever and the films keep getting better and better. Seriously, Disney has so much faith in the franchise now that they let Joss Whedon foreshadow the next movie by giving a peek at a villain only comics fans would know.

How well do you know Vana'diel? Could you find your way through the Yuhtunga Jungle blindfolded and navigate to safety using only your sense of hearing? Do you know each individual crevice and nook of the maps of Vana'diel? The Community Team has concocted a series of trials to put your knowledge of Vana'diel, as well as your riddle-solving abilities, to the test!

The Community Team will make an appearance on the Test Server and hide in special locations scattered across Vana'diel. Once the team member has made their way to the hiding spot, we will announce a hint regarding the location on both the forum and also in-game via linkshells that will be distributed. Players must then hunt down the hidden Community Team member. The first three players to find the hiding Community Team member and purchase a Red Rose from their bazaar will be awarded a Chocobo Beret!
If you believe you are a hide-and-seek master, head over to the forums to read up on the full event details!
