I found the data on the wiki like a few weeks ago. I didn't know testing had been done. I've questioned the source but no response yet.

The staff is actually superior to the elemental staves (damage wise) and probably accuracy wise but it requires TP. 250% at that to be worthwhile.....

Um... the MAB is all blank, the only thing it shows is ATK boost. You are looking at the wrong thing I believe, no one has said the MAB boost yet, they have no clue how to test or just know that the weapon they got is shit so don't want to let people know. ; ;

Haha, I never even thought of using the mythic WS before I nuke a flan (my mind's never thinking about meleeing if just to use a WS).... well played! I believe that's solo now.
Guess I'll try that out next time I use my lantern.

That's really not necessary. Also, you're forgetting a potential Spirit Lantern.

Look Nugz, take your own damage from the SS you posted (2758) and divide it by 0.9. That's the increase you'd get from Vido. You would nuke for 3064. There, a 3000+ damage solo nuke is possible and you could do it with your own gear. Stop being a feeg.

If you really wanted an epeen shot, you could make it higher by using Witch's Sash instead of Hyorin Obi. If you get lucky and the weather still procs, then obviously you do more damage than when you used a +0 INT belt. If you get lucky and Magical Crit as well, you're really going to asplode that puddin. Want to get even more extreme? Try using the Sagacious Obi and Wise strap instead. Then you get INT+10 and can potentially get your weather proc and magical crit.

Want to get more extreme yet? Use Retribution -> Vido and make Darkness, them MB the shit with a 5/5 Freeze II on Iceday using the appropriate MB+ gear, and also get the day/magic crit bonuses.

Max damage gearset would be:
Main: Aquilo's staff
Sub: Wise strap (With M.crit activate!)
Ammo: Spirit Lantern
Head: Maat's cap
Neck: Prudence Torque
Ear1: Novio Earring
Ear2: Static Earring
Body: Morrigan's Robe
Hands: Sorcerer's Gloves (maybe Z-mitts +1, I don't want to do the math)
Ring1/2: 2 INT+5 rings (or something better if you're lucky with Augments)
Back: Ixion Cape (or something better if you're lucky with Augments)
Waist: Sagacious Brocade Obi (INT+10 enchantment)
Legs: Sorcerer's Tonban
Feet: Yigit Crackows? (I'm not sure if they've released better, this was always a pretty weak slot for BLM)

5/5 Ice Potency, 5/5 INT merits, 5/5 Freeze II, INT+7 food, and Tarutaru.
Retribution -> Vido for Darkness, MB it with Freeze II solo and get all the possible bonuses (2% * 45% = ~1% chance?). Might be possible as BLM/SCH using Dark Arts, Alacrity, and any Fast cast gear (like an augmented body.) Freeze II starts with a 10 second cast time, and you've got to be within 5 seconds of the Skillchain to MB. You have at least -69% possible casting time reduction, which gets you down to 3.1 seconds. I don't know how you'd survive casting the nuke, but I'm sure it could all be done with enough luck. Puddings do miss sometimes and if you really felt like it you could buff with Blink Band.

As far as I know, that'd be the max damage possible solo. I probably messed something up. It has been a long time since I did BLM stuff. Just eyeballing it though, I'd guess that if you did that you might break 4000 damage. Actually, near 5000 damage probably wouldn't be impossible. You have to figure 3064 * 1.52 for MB + extra damage from gear swaps/luck. Personally though, I'd rather know the possibility is there and not waste my time doing it.

Edit: Oh yeah, what Shigo said. Burn the bishe! Can't use drugs if you're going to use Ic wing though.

The beauty of the math in my case is that you lose about 10 MAB from hands/earring and gain it back through M.crit, then you gain 10 INT from the belt. Toss in MB-ness and you end up with over a 52% increase in damage from relying on luck and MBing. Your 2758 damage nuke would turn into a 4657 before factoring in the extra INT. Assuming there are some differences between the setup I described and what you use (like Maat's cap), it's probably possible to improve that damage even further.

Edit: Yeah, I realized I forgot Sorc ring and Pendant as I was writing this. Also, I didn't know about the new hat. Nifty!
