I will reply to you, since Rotsu has yet to add anything worth mentioning. Keep trying, dude.

1. I can't say how much of that is true, but I know one thing : Bonk didn't have any problem with what we were doing. And we were EXCLUDED from a random until after we already had claim. And there were 5 people there. I was in the alliance, could see who was in Jeuno/Qufim and who wasn't.

2. MPK: Greysoul was representing all of Fortune by not only trying to mpk us, but by not being reprimanded/kicked, or even being made to apologize afterwards. He blantently stole KB, he blantently mpked us, right in front of everyone. Talking stuff on the boards is one thing, but actions speak far louder than words. And no, Wabo did not MPK Fortune at all during those few weeks pre patch, because I attended all but one of those days, and they day I was not present was a clean pull (pictures on our forums). There was a whopping one mpk attempt made in those few weeks, by Greysoul. If you have any pictures to prove otherwise, please post them and I will take back what I said with apologies. Do not believe "word of mouth" from your own ls, because after that "anonymous poster", I have a feeling that the truth can be quite stretched at times. Yes, we did "promise to MPK", but we never did, and Jimbo himself posted (at the time) that any persons who tried to steal from Fortune would be kicked, no questions asked (honestly, not sure that applies anymore). I mean, come on, Jhun claimed with 5 people in the party, and everyone else in Fortune was in Dynamis. Instead of warping out, he CFH, and we had to kite it/log out/log in to get it under control and back to being killed. Then, you come from Dynamis to DA (very "fast", I might add), thinking to see us wiped. Again, actions speak far louder than words.

3. I can't argue the hacking part. But then again, that so called "anonymous poster" did the same. The not so anonymous one. As much as I hate this phrase "An eye for an eye." We crowded you? You crowded us also. It's really not going to help figuring out who started it (I honestly don't know), but the ones who finish it first will be the ones worth remembering.

I don't have anything against Fortune in general either (outside of HNM camps, I just see too much to not leave a bad taste in my mouth). You, in particular, are one of those that I respect, and prove to me that Fortune is not all bad. And I will not argue that Wabo is perfect, but far from it.

I just have a real issue with someone who will cry to the world about being slighted when they do the exact same thing. It's hypocrisy, it's annoying, it's no fun. Every time someone posts one picture from a "private" forum, another from another "private" forum comes up. Please, don't call Wabo racists and then send /tells like that to Poppit. Please, don't post private forum pictures and not expect the same to happen to you also (this goes for everyone). Well then i'd like to introduce myself to you Chael - I'm probably the nicest guy you'll ever meet in this game, but am I a saint? not sure if i'd say saint; thats for others to decide. Do people piss me off? sure. Do I get upset when people don't play fair? sure. But I have never MPK'd another ls, stolen another ls's mob or anything to that extent, and i never will. To me it isn't "X" linkshell are retards, its usually people. I just judge people themselves according to what they do. I don't make assumptions, I just let their actions do the talking.

I know some of the other LS's think that some of our members are total pricks, rude, racist, whatever the flaw may be, but all I see in wabo is a linkshell full of good players. Players that have been able to band together to do pretty much anything we set our minds to (as evident to our conquest of Vrtra in an extrememly smooth fight a few weeks ago). Do we try to toot our own horns? no. are we proud of what we can accomplish as a group? Sure we are, who isn't. we strive to have fun, not make others miserable that play this game, and I think that could be said for everyone in our LS.

I can't agree with you more, except on one point. I have no idea who may have tried to MPK you with those spiders, but I can tell you from experience that it is quite easy for one person out of 20-30 people to slip away unnoticed...

Am I saying that we didn't do it? No, because I don't know for sure. Am I saying we did? No, because I honestly don't think we did and no one has proof other than assumptions to back them up, and I learned a while ago that assumptions are one of the worst things to draw evidence from. You may think me a bit naive, Chael, for believing in my own ls when there is no evidence to go one way or the other (notice I have never mentioned some of the things I *thought* Fortune may have done, only what I have seen with my own eyes), but it would have been pretty easy for one member of those *helpful* LSes to slip out (or even stay in game and log in a seperate account) to log in a mule.

You do have a valid point, Rotsu. But automatically saying it is Wabo 100% is extremely flawed logic, because all you have as proof is your assumptions, when it could just as easily have been any other LS there. In fact, why wouldn't they help you out, to make you think it was not them? Seems like a no-brainer that if an LS was already helping kill them the guilty LS would take a spider or two to pitch in, and a no-brainer that if Fortune gets it, Wabo is going to warp because we do not want to wait for a Fafnir you have already claimed and will most likely kill when it pops every day...

I have to say to both of you, it may have been us, it may not have, but please do not say you know it was us until you can prove it.

But I have been pulled away from my original statement, so here I go. I simply can't stand. and will bitch at, anyone who would complain about being the victim of racist comments when they actively have, in the past, called other people racist comments themselves. I am not condoning the behavior by any means (and I said to lay off those comments in our forums, too! Fortune read some of them), but did the other LSes and people complain to a forum like BG or KI when members of Fortune called them racial slurs? No. And yet the second it happens to those members of Fortune, they cry to the FFXI World, knowing full well that they have done the same thing before and yet acting like they never have, UNTIL those private messages were posted. I was quite ashamed of what was said that day, I really was. I am multi-racial myself, and insulting another person based on where they live or on their culture is all too common and one of the stupidest things you can do (also something I told my LS). But then the "anonymous poster" not only ganked stuff from our private forums posting random crap (not just from that day), but I see these "so called victims" calling other people racist comments months before they were called racist comments themselves. How the hell did you think I would react? Trying to make us look racist, and me actually feeling guilty about it... Hypocrisy has always been one of my pet peeves, but that honestly took the cake, and that's why I have been very...actively posting my thoughts lately.

Like you, I prefer to make my own judgements on an individual level. Linkshell to Linkshell there are good eggs and bad eggs, assholes and nice guys. Pxtzle, Offline, Wabo, Fortune, Bonk, Pain, Tactics etc. etc., I'd be hardpressed to find any population concentrated of either distinction. I feel like I'm being misinterpreted, so here it is: every linkshell, every single one, has it's faults and cracks. I posted my first argument to make this one.

You have a point and I'll concede in running into a conclusion with insubstantial proof. It was perhaps too much when promised an mpk and in the next several days, shock, an mpk attempt.

I've been playing this game for 2 years and 3 months now, and as far as I remember have had no serious altercations with anyone in-game. I'm a fairly nice guy, and I love bard. I like to take initiative- I'll admit more often than I should- but I'm helpful, forgiving, and loyal to my friends.
However (and thank you Shippou for providing an example), I get annoyed when my linkshells reputation preceeds my own, with this constant demonization of Fortune and all it's members. I know it's far more expedient to cast a net and condemn all those who fall under it, but even 8-year-olds know how to confront a person 1v1. Just as easily I could call all of Wabo racists because of a few idiots... but that's stupid and baseless, so I won't.

Instead of going by what you hear on forums or from friends, why not actually get to know these people? You might be surprised.
