Im at bastok markets and someone decides to shout "Nobody Likes niggers" so i was like wtf and i shouted back fuck you...i shoulda sended the dude a /tell but i didnt feel like it, so a GM sends me a /tell saying "you need to watch your language" so i replied and told him what happened and he said "I told you to watch your language ones you will not be warned again" i thought it was bullshit and i got on my comp hoping i would be able to get on this server and speak to him using my keyboard so it would be quicker but i couldnt get on >.> thats some shit man

im guessing that person got a warning too but you still shouldnt have swore like that, gm's are basicly impartial they are there to enforce the rules, you swear they tell you not to, the other guy probly got a tell about it too, but because he does that did not justify you swearing. you didnt have to swear in the open like that you coulda done something else. next time try to be discreate

GM cannot give you a warning for that. Anyone who does not WANT to be exposed to that has the option of filtering swear words. Those who don't care can turn this filter off. GM has no say in any contect that you shout as long as you are not sexually harassing others or being slanderous. In fact You should report the GM.

GM'sare just employee's of SE, if your pissed enough phone in a complaint. Just remember they don't get paid enough to care what happens to you, and you're the one shelling out the money that maeks their paycheck. Don't take shit.

One thing you'll learn about FF GMs, they won't go ahead and inform you that they've taken any action against the other person. Just have to take what they give you and chill I suppose.

GMs ban people every day for things that aren't against the ToS. They enforce the rules of this game how their opinions holds that they should be, not how they're actually written.

Take windowers for an example. The ToS mentions "third party software" exactly one time in its entirety - in a section where it outlaws use of third party software for absentee play. GMs, however, ban people at will for using a windower while they are clearly not absentee playing.

GMs can, and will, give warnings for language if they choose to - and if you threaten to cancel your account SE won't give a shit because 3412432143123421431234 other people are still paying them monthly with more to come.

What I guess I don't understand is why it was, in the OP's opinion, not ok for one person to shout a word that many people find offensive but it was a-ok for the OP to shout another word that people often find offensive in response.

The idea about sending him a /tell would have save you time of talking to a dumbass GM. Remember this, and remember this well, GM only do what they feel is right. if a GM is a racists he would not take it of being a significant matter, vice a versa, so it best to talk out your problem before you call scum bags, like GM's to do something about it. an NoPoeticJustice is right about them getting paid to care, their check is compare to what someone at a fast food joint would make, if their part time, so don't worry about it.
