this is kinda 2 post in 1 cuz im lazy first of ill i want to make a guess as what the Hexagun is
SE says a multi-barreled revolver, so i think a multi-hitting gun shot 2 or 3 but hex means 6 so maybe the guy shots 6 bullets at a time O.O bullets at once so at level 60 cor/rng Barrage for 10-15 bullets or maybe 30 O.O "shot to kill" i dont think this is true but if it is you going to need a shit load of gil to level this job. i dont think this is true but what popped in my head when i read it. i want to know what other ppl think of it
the secon part is where did you ppl read this is going to be a suport job??? i cant find it any wair
Hexagun. yay nee?

Its on the interview.. and 6 is also the maximum number of members in a party, so it makes sense that corsairs will use AoE buffs.

Something just clicked in my head... Corsair uses a "Hexabarrel"...
Anyone remember Kuroki Kaze from the anime "Final Fantasy: Unlimited"? Put 3 different bullets in a Demon Gun, which he the fired to summon stuff with?

in the interview it was stated that Corsair will not be a DD like ranger.. so i doubt it will fire 30hit barrages
;;;
i have a feeling that playing corsair will be like playing russian roulette.. hit a ability and have a chance to heal the pt, restore MP, def up, atk up, or shoot yourself in the foot XD it would rawk if the animation for self-targeting buffs was pointing the gun at yer head and pulling the trigger...
Mrpuffyshirt uses Lucky Buff.
Mrpuffyshirt casts Death.
Mrpuffyshirt falls to the ground.
pt > T_T bad {luck}

That's a good point. However Corsair works, it looks like it will be a very fun job to play!

The way I figure it, it will work one of three ways. Either:
1) It'll be a Gun Mage type weapon, via Final Fantasy Unlimited (not FF-X-2, which was just a blue mage) or Outlaw Star (where Gene used a Castor, which used magic shells as ammo)
2) It'll be a gambling device. You'll pull out your gun, spin the barrel, pull the trigger, and hope you get the right one
3) Perhaps we are thinking too hard about this, and it'll just be a more rapid fire pistol.

He's holding a rifle in the picture, though. :con I hope they make actual pistols for them! That'd be awesome!
A gun like Kaze had in FF:U would be really awesome. :boing

Sounds identical to Gadgeteer from Final Fantasy Tactics and Final Fantasy Tactics Advanced...

What I want to know is ---
Do you buy hexaguns (ie COR only type ranged weapon) you buy more powerful guns, faster reload times etc.
OR does COR simply always carry the hexagun, and you only see it during animations for abilities when it is in use?
we have seen pictures of COR with what looks like a Bandits/ Pirate's gun, so obviously they can equip normal guns, but that isn't the hexagun.
edit-- replaced 'PIR' with 'COR' >_>

HMm do you guys remember Cait Sith from FFVII? His abilities were "luck-based", but it wasn't LUK stat, it was your luck as a player
You could either heal everyone, buff, etc, kill the enemy instantly, or kill yourself, and such. If COR is like that, it will be awesome

I have a feeling the 2hr is going to be a Russian Roulette type thing.
a shot that does low damage, but gives any Ailment, from death to frost
