Hmmm well logically the 6 bullets would be for the party but what if its for the effectiveness..... like say the ability itself is a ja but when you use it depending on how many of the shots fired is the effectiveness of the luck.... im pretty sure with what was said in the interview hexagun doesnt mean super 1337 gun to destroy enemies... maybe an example would be an attk buff ability that can get you +10 attk a on 1 bullet shot or 60 attk on a 6 but if this was the case the 2hr would probably be every ability you use for the minute will be to it's highest power... though a parrot would be pretty cool =P in the case of highest power ability it would be like the bards soul voice ie a support job 2hr which is what the corsair is supposed to be right? oh and maybe the power could be in the bullets themselves, like a lvl 5 bullet could be a low buff to def and a 70 bullet could be a huge increase to that same affect...
this would also probably be pretty pricey unless SE made the shells a very reasonable price from npcs which would also get rid of alot of the $ on servers.... eh...
.. all speculation right?^^
Hexagun. yay nee?

6 shots, 6 party members. Odds are that it will roll somthing and whatever number comes up, thats how many of the party members receive the buff. Or rolls somthing else, and how long the debuff will last, or how effective it is on an enemey. nuff said

Remember in FF6 with Setzer's "Lucky Slots" ability? It sounds like something a Corsair could use. I don't know just a idea. :|

It would be cool if the gun had a low delay and then a reload time. Like 100 delay after 6 shots 400-600 reload delay.

I think it will probably be a flare shot overtop of the group in an AOE type effect..
like a curaga/bard song type effect..
so example if he has a haste bullet for the pt to be hasted..
he will shot it over the head of a member and then it will rain down as an AOE..
just my 2 cents.. but that seems like the most standard FFXI way of doing things..
dont think too hard about it

Aerroenu :
Something just clicked in my head... Corsair uses a "Hexabarrel"...
Anyone remember Kuroki Kaze from the anime "Final Fantasy: Unlimited"? Put 3 different bullets in a Demon Gun, which he the fired to summon stuff with?

That Anime sucked. Hard.

BRD's can solo any job in Ballista.
Tank Fafnir.
Solo Kirin.
Solo Absolute Virtue.
And last but not least, solo Bubbly Bernie when it normally takes an alliance.
They may take their time killing things, but they can live longer and get more done than a DRK can. :x
KK, I fibbed on Kirin and AV...

(myself_from_another_thread)
Maybe something like this?
Job Ability:
Dice roll shot(6 sided die):
Roll a 1: Misses the monster (Simple to understand)
Roll a 2: Does an elemental shot that weakens elemental resistance, depends on weakness of the monster (if fire elemental is weak to water, it will be a water base shot and weaken fire resistance for example). *If there is no specific elemental weakness, the element will be random*
Roll a 3: Does an elemental shot that STRENGTHENS elemental resistance, depends on strength of the monster (if fire elemental is strong against fire, it will be a fire base shot that increases resistance to water). *If there is no specific elemental resistance, the element will be random*
Roll a 4: An inaccurate(-25% accuracy) critical shot(2x normal damage, and 2x normal tp gain from the shot).
Roll a 5: Multiple shots *extra shots varies per level, more the higher you are* **This is like barrage, lets say you get Dice roll shot at level 30, every 15 levels after level 30(+1 from the start), you get an extra shot in. Example level 30 = One extra shot from your gun(total of 2), Level 45 = Two extra shots from your gun(total of 3), Level 75 = Four extra shots from your gun (total of 5 shots)
Roll a 6: Shoots the monster regularly, if it hits, gains 100% tp. If you do not hit, lowers tp by 100%.
*Simple enough to understand right?*
Well this is an example I thought of.
As you can see, it doesn't have anything WAY TOO NEGATIVE or WAY TOO POSITIVE
I'm pretty sure SE won't make Corsair have a chance to devestate the party(like kill everyone), or recover's the mobs health to full, through a dice roll for example. Thats just too "strong" for how FFXI is, not really those type of games where one dice roll can kill the entire party(I mean it in literal terms, not how if you can't stun a goblin bomb, all of your party members die), or kill all the monsters.

This is a post I made in "corsair has bad luck". Lets just say you replace "dice" with "spin the barrel/roulette/whatever and pick the ammo to shoot".
Well this is just an idea.
