Its
ugly too.
I hope no-one goes to the festival, as a protest for poor service we all endure. Here's a
useless shitty club that wont do anything, enjoy (we want your money!).

yeah I
agree on the RMT comment. If you read the registration details you can pay $85 not go to the event and get your
moogle rod, you just don't get the gift bag for that you have to attend in person. To me this will prolly start
a trend and you will see future event with items possibly raising the fees in the process.

for
that price it better have "Enchantment: Mog House Access
[Max Charges: 1 / Equip Delay: 30s / Reuse Timer:
24h]"
This really is an outrage.
Great idea for making more money off the people that
haven't quit yet.
Why stop there though? Next year SE can announce the "FFXI International Gamers Expo
Week" in Tokyo, Japan. The attendance fee is $900 (if you pay early) for a full week of [fun] [excitement]!! oh
and btw, if you buy your ticket (even if you dont attend) you will receive an excusive set of AF3 armor (for the
job of your choice) that will only be available as a promotional item for this event!!

Sephi
maybe you should read the posts, yes you get other stuff... "If you attend at the Santa Monica Pier" The outrage
is from the fact you can buy a ticket to the event for $85, not go, and still get your in game item. Which leaves
the door open to people buying tickets just to get an ingame item even though they have no intention of going to
the actual event.

Well did you really think SE was going to give
you an item in a game in person?

I think
you are missing the point, if they wanted to give out ingame items at the event they could check you off on a list
showing you attended the event or give you a code slip at the event that would let you recieve your ingame item.
What they are doing isn't much short of selling ingame items for cash. I will bet if 2,000 people pass thru the
doors of that event, atleast 2x that will be running around with this rod. What's next, "hey guys we are having
an event and each person that attends gets 10mil gil, oh by the way you don't actually have to attend, if you pay
the $80 we will send the gil to your delivery box... usually within 10minutes! PS: you can buy multiple tickets
to this event *wink*" Get Real

well, if
some idiot wants to pay 85$ to get what probably is going to be a shitty item anyway, they can be my guest,
honestly i dont care if you pay 85$ just for a stupid stick with a moogle on it, just proves to me that your
retarded. If your paying 85$ to actually go to the event, im fine with that, go enjoy yourself.

Man,
this is a tempest in a teacup. The item is probably pretty much useless. Its just an in game reward for buying
tickets the event.
It just looks cute and you will be able to say that you bought a ticket to the event.
Its not like its going to have stats like a peacock charm. This is also not an uncommon idea in MMO's.

this thing
pisses me off.
I dont think its cool to have special items that ppl can only obtain by going to (or even
lamer still, paying for but not going to) some SE event in the states.....

Now you
know as well as I do the people that probably buy gil will more than likely have this rod. Why would they have
it, because they have money to blow or either have no good life.

Gotta
be one crappy item if you ask me. Its nice and rare yea but doesn't do much like that Ballista cap you get in
tournaments.
