It's been a long time coming but I've finally gotten around to writing up a follow up to chapter 3, unfortunately i've lost a lot of my work so this script takes place on chapter 10, but here's a bit of a follow up to certain events that transcended.
Ex was hospitalized by Fenrir going on a rampage, Hiro enraged by this went to Full Moon Fountain and confronted Fenrir with Carbuncle, he was quickly beaten down, and Fenrir told him that if he wants to win he'll need to get stronger.
And now Hiro looks forward to taking his final exam to graduate, which you will read here - I feel like I can easily do these scripts so if people like it I can continue and maybe even work on doing artwork again but currently i'm held up by another series i'm working on called Ninja-Mage which devotes most my art time but scripts are pretty easy to write up so don't worry to much if I don't get a chapter up, I promise not to go on a 2 year hiatus again :X
GF: Hiro get up
Hiro: Mmmrgh...
GF: Get up
Hiro: oww.. My head..
GF: little help
Carbuncle: SHINING RUBY
*a burst of light springs from Carby’s ruby*
Hiro: MY EYES
GF: we’re going to be late.
Hiro: late for what??
GF: Exams
Hiro: those?
GF: Yes
Carbuncle: what are exams?
GF: they’re like a test that entails if we graduate the Mage Academy or not, at the end of the exams we get our diploma as well as our Adventurers certificate which pretty much states we can use magic anywhere outside of school.
Carbuncle: You have to have a certificate to use magic?
GF: Well magic is actually illegal unless you’re licensed to use it.
Carbuncle: So this certificate is a license?
GF: no it’s more of a form saying we can register to become Adventurers for our nation.
Carbuncle: wait so it’s a certificate that’s really a license that’s really a pass to register?
GF: exactly
Carbuncle: Who thought up something so confusing?
Hiro: Probably Shantoto.
Carbuncle: Hmmm... who’s that?
Hiro: One of the proctors for this exam, there’s usually 3, Shantoto, the Principal, and Ex, but I wonder if Ex will be there considering she’s still on bed rest.
GF: I heard there’s also going to be a special guest from the Jeunonian council proctoring.
Hiro: Jeunonian Council?
GF: They’re pretty much parliament, they have jurisdiction over a lot of the things the Arch Duke does.
Hiro: Jeuno is even more confusing then Windurst...
Ex: You’re telling me, I was sent to watch one of those stupid meetings once, worst 3 hours of my life.
Hiro/GF: EX
*the two run up and hug Ex*
Ex: Ouch, careful, I’m still weak hehe
Carbuncle: Why do you people purposely hurt the injured?
Ex: oro?
Hiro: It’s called hugging, it’s really a testiment of affection.
Ex: oro, what is that? And why does it talk ?
Hiro: Oh Ex, you’ve never met Carby
Ex: ... carby..— car-buncle...?
Hiro: the very same.
Ex: Hiro WHY IS AN AVATAR HANGING AROUND YOU ? ?
Hiro: I summoned him.... And he won’t go away?
Ex: YOU KNOW SUMMONING IS ILLEGAL RIGHT ? IT’S SO ILLEGAL IT’S TABOO THAT’S HOW BAD IT IS
Hiro: uh...
Carbuncle: Well he can’t get rid of me, and I’ll fight anyone who tries to stop Hiro from persuing his destiny
Ex: Does Koru-Moru Know you’ve done this?
Hiro: of course he does.
Ex: how haven’t you been arrested yet???
Hiro: Apparently the the Star Sybll wants to see what happens, and is giving time to experiment with the magic. Todays exam is the real decision maker.
Ex: Well heres hoping you’ll pass, I’ll be up in the balcony proctoring for it.
Hiro: Oh hey, I was wondering who that Jeunoian guy that will be there is?
Ex: His name is Azrael, pay no mind to him, he’s just here for today then he’ll be back to jeuno, no go get ready the show starts soon.
Koru-Moru: ah Ex, you’re here.
Ex: I wouldn’t miss my favorite pupil’s big day.
Shantoto: Oh-ho-ho-ho So I hear there’s a Summoner today.
Koru-Moru: Yes, Male Student #33 Hikari Hiro
Shantoto: The Star Sybll does know that this magic is still illegal yes?
Miha Ruhira: It was her direct wish that she see this “Summoner” in action.
Koru-Moru: Miha why are you here?
Miha: the Star Sybll sent me to come along with her but I can’t seem to find her anywhere...
Star Sybll: Come on Come one we’re going to miss it
Trion: yes yes, I’m coming.
Koru-Moru: Prince Trion.... O_o is the gueset list for this exam getting bigger every second.
Trion: San’Doria is currently housing several foreign exchange students of high ranking families in this school and I’ve come to watch for their families. I am also currently a special envoy for the Star Sybll.
Star Sybll: Oh you big bucket of bolts, when he says envoy he means he begged me to come here.
Trion: ...
Trion: And what of the jeunonian rep? Where is he at?
Shantoto: I believe he went to the rest room hohoho.
Koru-Moru: Well get him out it’s about to star-
Announcer: LADIES AND GENTLEMEN WELCOME ONE AND ALL TO THIS YEARS WINDURSTIAN MAGE EXAM
*a large crowd starts cheering*
Trion: is it normal of windurstian customs to go all out for these things...?
Koru-Moru: well it use to be a small exam... but people took pride in seeing the event and now it’s turned into a show...
Announcer: IN THIS EXAM WE WILL BE HOSTING A SPECIAL SET OF RULES IN ORDER TO PASS
Announcer: THE TEST WILL BE TO SEE HOW PROFICIENT THE STUDENT IS IN BOTH ENFEEBLE MAGIC, AS WELL AS LARGE SCALE AREA MAGIC FIRST STUDENT WILL BE MAKIRA
Makira: bring em on. *puts on boxing gloves*
*Some taru’s can be seen standing infront of a Magic Pot and a Magic Doll, they cast a spell on the two creatures giving them life and they walk out onto the stage*
Announcer: LET THE EXAM BEGIN
Magic Doll: URRR
*Starts walking towards makira but Mak simply punches it in the face and it goes flying, the magic pot is hit by the doll as it goes flying*
Announcer: uh.... *looks up at the proctors*
Announcer: Pass...
Trion: What happened there?
Shantoto: ohohoho the rules for Monks differ.
Trion: I heard last year the rules for passing was much more strict, word on the street was that only one kid passed a Hume Ninja.
Star Sybll: That was then, I decided it was to tough on the poor kids, and several of them could easily do the things that are required of most magicians.
Trion: so I guess we won’t be seeing anything to spectacular?
Ex: Well there is still an advanced class exam, it differs from this exam in that the students have to subdue a fully grown Manticore, only a few students participate in this exam, it’s more a glory award then an actual exam.
Trion: hmmm.
------- inside the students waiting room ---------
Hiro: *huff* *huff*
GF: Don’t worry so much Hiro
Carby: Yah, we’re going to do fine
Hiro: I’m just panic’y, you know I can’t do enfeeble magic worth crap...
GF: you’ll be alright just try not to think about it.
*a person with a check list walks in*
Person: GF, you’re up.
GF: Ok.
*Walks with the person to the stage*
*Some people can be seen hearding a monsters onto the field, a person can be seen standing infront of a rather large cage*
Azrael: He who is mighty, so easily trapped in a cage by man. How sad for you
*walks away, the view pans in on the cage as the metal rod holding it shut is now gone*
GF: Hmph... *Standing infront of a large Magic Doll and Magic Pot*
Magic Doll: URRUU *charges at GF and tries to punch him*
GF: *jumps out of the way* SLEEPGA
*all the enemies are put to sleep by the spell*
GF: Ok I can try to do masisve damage to both of them with an Aoe, or maybe I could try to just take them on one at a time
Magic Pot: *wakes up and begins casting something on GF*
GF: Damn too late *casts stun on the Magic Pot*
GF: Thunder III *a large bolt of lightning comes crashing down on the enemy*
Magic Pot: Kkkkkkkkk *deactivates*
GF: Now your turn - FLARE
*A large Flame engulfs the Magic Doll*
Magic Doll: URRRRRRR
GF: Hehe
*The Doll stops from the flames and launches at GF*
GF: Shit
GF: Slow
GF: Paralyze
GF: BLIZZARD
*The doll finally deactivates*
Announcer: STUNNING VERY STUNNING IF THAT KID DIDN’T PASS THEN THERE MUST BE SOMETHING WRONG WITH OUR PROCTORS
Announcer: UP NEXT WE HAVE A VERY SPECIAL STUDENT BRING OUT HIKARI HIRO
Azrael: What did I miss? *sits down next to Trion*
Koru-Moru: nothing much..
Announcer: HIRO WILL YOU TELL OUR AUDIENCE WHAT JOB YOU PERFORM??
Hiro: why do you yell?.... I mean I’m a Summoner..
Crowd: *gasps*
Announcer: Summ...oner... WE HAVE A VERY SPECIAL FIGHT THEN BRING OUT THE DOL-
*a giant beast breaks into the arena*
Manticore: ROOOOOOOOOAR
Hiro: HUH ?
Announcer: ACK GET OUT OF HERE KID *runs like hell*
Azrael: oh my ...
Trion: GRAB YOUR BLADES *jumps down from the balcony ready to kill*
Azrael: *mutters something under his breath*
Trion: *runs towards the beast but is blown away by a barrier*
Ex: A barrier ?
Koru-Moru: HIRO YOU HAVE TO GET OUT OF THERE
Hiro: Right Come on Carby *runs but the barrier won’t let him out*
Hiro: we’re stuck...
Manticore: *Starts walking towards Hiro*
Carby: Looks like we have to fight.
Carby: Hiro, give me orders
Hiro: Uh right... Carby Attack that manticore
Carby: *lunges at the manticore attacking it in the nose*
manticore: ROAR *swaps carby to the ground*
Hiro: Damn CARBY YOU OK ?
Carby: I’ll be fine... I NEED YOU TO GIVE ME A BLOOD PACT ORDER
Hiro: BLOOD PACT ? WHATS THAT ?
Carby: It’s a special bond between you and I *dodging attacks as he says this*
Hiro: OK BLOOD PACT
Carby: *a burst of ligh comes from Carby’s ruby blinding the manticore*
Manticore: ROOOOOOAR *Gains eyesight and is now enraged, grabs carby from the ground and then chucks him down into it*
Hiro: CARBY ?
*runs to carby and picks him up*
Hiro: CARBY.... CARBY WAKE UP
Carby: uu...h....
Hiro: YOU... YOU ... BASTARD *runs at the manticore and punches it in the leg, but the manticore doesn’t seem to notice anything about this*
Manticore: swats Hiro knocking him back*
Azrael: come.. Use it... use that power... THAT RAW POWER ...
*the barrier surrounding Hiro and the Manticore breaks, and the Manticore starts causing a rampage in the arena*
Crowds: RUN AWAY!!! AHHHH!!
Trion: Get that boy out of here *charges at the Manticore*
Manticore: *Breaks Trions sword in half with one slash*
Trion: !?!
Koru-Moru: Fire V! *casts fire on the manticore, but the manticore only feels a slight burn*
Koru-Moru: Why is this Manticore so strong????! We would never use something this strong on students, or even adults!
Ex: *on a phone* I need the Tactician’s over here asap! WE’VE GOT AN INCEDENT!!!
Manticore: *Jumps in the air and stomps the ground knocking everyone surrounding it to the ground and even knocking some pillars down*
Hiro: car... carby....
*looks over at Carby who is still unconscious*
*looks around at all the people fighting and getting hurt by this one enemy*
Flash back -
Fenrir: You come here to challenge me, you are brave, but you are still to weak for that bravery to come in handy. Return to fight me when you’re stronger Hiro!
Hiro: Grrr!!
Fenrir: Bring forth the power of the celestial avatars who lay dormant across this world, then challenge me.
*flash back ends*
Hiro: I will... I WILL GET STRONGER!!!!!
*Hiro’s eyes open but appear to be pupilis, Carby’s eyes also open appearing the same way*
Azrael: yes...
*a sudden aura surrounds the two*
Koru-Moru: *notices this* NO!!!!
Hiro/Carbuncle: ASTRAL FLOW!!!!!!!!
*a light so bright bursts forth from both, next thing you see is the manticore on the ground dead*
Hiro/Carby: HAHAHAHAHAH!!!!! *the two start going on a rampaging destroying everything in their path*
Azrael: YES!! USE THAT RAW POWER!!! DESTROY KILL DO IT ALL!!! HAHAHAHAHA
Trion: We wanted to kill the manticore but I don’t think this is an even trade!!!
Ex: What’s wrong with them!?
Koru-Moru: It’s Astral Flow!!
Ex: ASTRAL FLOW?!!?!
Koru-Moru: Yes! Hiro’s using the raw power of the summoner to destroy that beast...
Ex: What do you mean?
Koru-Moru: Karaha had a theory that Summoners have two powers they can tap into, one is Astral Flow, which is a raw power that unlocks a deadly set of abilities to both the avatar and the summoner, the problem with this raw power is it’s to uncontrollable, the other side of the power is a pure form of power that only a truly experienced summoner would be able to tap, but that was only a theory.
Ex: My god, he’s going to kill everyone in his path...
Koru-Moru: We will have to stop him! STUNGA!!! *stuns Hiro and carby*
Ex: SLEEPGA!!
*the two fall to the ground and slowly the aura dissipates*
*Hiro wakes up in a hospital bed*
Hiro: what happened?
Hiro: where’s... Carby?!
Ex: calm down Hiro, carby’s fine he’s just walking around.
Hiro: what happened how did I get here?
Ex: *whispers to Koru-Moru* We can’t tell him can we?
Koru-Moru: no if he knows then there’s no telling what could happen...
Ex: You beat that Manticore, but the two of you delivered a blow that knocked you both out
Hiro: hmmm that sounds like something I’d do...
Ex: you passed! And as a special graduation present Koru-Moru and I got you something special.
Koru-Moru: *pulls a staff out from under the bed* This staff use to belong to a dear friend of mine, and I think it would belong best in your hands.
Hiro: wow... this has to be one of the nicest staves I’ve ever seen...
Ex: Yah now if you can stay out of the hospital long enough maybe you’ll be able to use it! Hahaha!
Hiro: Thanks guys! Thanks a lot!
*scene shifts to show everyone at a dinner table, GF and Hiro can be seen wearing Seer’s Tunic’s now*
Koru-Moru: Well Hiro! GF! You guys are now officially Adventurers, so what are you going to do first?
GF: Well hmmm never thought about it
Hiro: Jeuno! I want to go to Jeuno
GF: I guess we’re going to Jeuno.
Ex: Jeuno, that’s going to be a trip on foot.
GF: yah :/
Hiro: Hey but when we get there we’ll be able to get our chocobo licenses!
GF: And the world renowned auction house is located there, so that will be cool.
GF’s Mom: Just don’t get to taken in by the sights and forget about where your allegiance lies.
Buttler: Master Hiro, Master GF, I’ve prepaired everything for you, your gear is waiting outside for you.
Hiro: where’s Carby at? I haven’t seen him anywhere.
*carby is seen standing on a ledge over looking the ocean*
Carby: Such a beautiful world.... to think I could miss out on it for so long... Fenrir-Sama... what are you going to do now that your awakened... and I wonder... could the others to have awakened once again?
Carby: Don’t worry Phoenix-Sama I’ll look after him, I will be his shield and his sword.
Hiro: Hey Carby come on out it’s time to go!
Carby: Coming! *jumps over to Hiro and GF who are putting packs on their back*
GF: I guess this is it, 3 brave adventurers setting off on a wonderful journey.
Koru-Moru: Just don’t run into some hungry wolves, the road to jeuno can be pretty dangerous.
Hiro: So long Windurst!!
Carby: it was fun getting to know all of you!
GF: Adios!
Koru-Moru: Hmm a Summoner, a Black Mage, and a furry blue weasel all going on an adventure.
Ex: I think they’ll be alright, Hiro’s stronger then most, he’ll be fine.
Koru-Moru: I fear for the poor SOB who try to stop them.

. I also got a Full Metal Alchemist feel around Chapter 2 page 12 and up with the whole "Summoning Circles" and the how you the little Taru was with Hiro, gave it the whole Big brother little brother vibe.
