[red]Dyire's 2006 Valentione's Day Event Guide[/red]
[Introduction]
Moogle:
Love is in the air!
It's time for Valentione's Day celebrations, kupo!
There is a type of chocolate that embodies emotions, kupo!
Young men and women in thsi town have broken their chocolets in two, hoping to meet that "special someone"! All we need to do now is search for another piece that perfectly fits the broken chocolate!
Here's what you should do, kupo: Take a piece of chocolate from a Valentione single, and exchange it with a complementary piece held by another adventurer! You'll be helping each other find a perfect match!
Don't forget who you got your chocolate from! Try to do too many things at once, and you'll end up confused and lost, kupo! So try to team up and hand chocolates to a moogle one pair at a time, kupo~.
We moogles can take your lonely pieces and make them into one whole, complete chocolate!
Then all you have to do is return the finished chocolate to the person who gave you the original piece. The rich taste is sure to lead them to their perfect partner!
Four people hold the chocolates you seek. After you've returned a whoel chocolate to each one, return to a moogle, kupo!
While exchanging chocolates with everyone, maybe you'll meet someone who puts a special sparkle in your eye, too. Kupohoho~!

[Synopsis]
This year, we have to do alot of running around and trading chocolates to and from NPCs. The stars of this event are the "Valentione Singles" that have popped up around the 3 main cities. They are all looking for that "perfect one," but are a bit lazy to do it themselves. Thats where we come in. We manipulate love with chocolates the NPCs give us and in the end, we get shinies! Wands that cast Reraise on a party member, crafting crystals, and the usual prizes are waiting for you! The emphasis of this event is with the relationship of two characters, so doing this event with one guy and one girl will make the whole process easier, literally!

[Guide]
There are two ways to doing this event, the easy way and the hard way.
The easy way is to party up with one person of the opposite gender and doing the event. The harder way is doing it solo and shouting for the correct piece. This guide will be focusing on the easier way, since doing it the harder way is rather pointless (atleast for now).

Once you have partied up with someone of the opposite gender, talk to the Event Moogle to begin! After activating the event, talk to all of the your character's gender-corresponding "Valentione Single" NPCs in both of the event zones in that city. (Example, Windurst Woods and Windurst Waters for Windurst Event) The NPC will complain in some fashion about finding their "perfect partner." Take careful notes on what kind of person the NPC wants. He/she will want a certain kind of characteristic in his "perfect partner." Also notice what race he/she wants, it will not always be the same as him/her. The NPC will then give you two pieces of his/her Race's chocolate.

Example:
From a Elvaan "Valentione Single" NPC
Romance L. Piece (Rare/EX)
Romance R. Piece (Tradable)

Find the Chocolate Right Piece from the NPC's desired "perfect partner." If you are in a party with your opposite-gendered event partner, both of your NPCs will link up nicely so that you won't have to check for characteristics other than Race. You can just trade eachother all of your Right Pieces and go to the Event Moogle to combine them correctly. If you are doing this solo, you will have to hunt around for the appropriate matching Right Piece of chocolate from the right kind of "valentione Single." (This is why doing it in a party and not having to worry about extra stuff is the way to go >>

Once you have recieved the NPC's "perfect partner's" Right Piece of chocolate, trade the original Left Piece (Rare/EX) and the new "perfect partner" Right Piece to a Event Moogle to recieve a whole piece of chocolate. Return this full piece of chocolate to that initial "Valentione Single" who gave you that pair of chocolates and asked you to go hunting for his/her "perfect partner."

After successfully trading the correctly combined Whole chocolates to all four of your gender-corresponding "Valentione Singles" in the city, talk to the Event Moogle to select your prize! (Prize lists are greatly reduced incase of error. These errors include combining the wrong chocolate pieces together. You can greatly reduce the chance for error by joining up with a partner instead of /shouting for a certain piece)

To obtain the Charm Wand, you must complete the event once successfully
To obtain the Charm Wand +1, you must complete the event two more times after getting your Charm Wand.

Me and my boyfriend did the quest together the first time we wernt even in a party but miraculusly got the same race npcs and got our wands.. but then we found out you could get signed versions if you were in a party so we threw them away and tried the quest again in a party. When we talked to the first set of npcs it went fine.. but then when we got to the second set we got different races >.< I have no idea whats wrong. Maybe we didnt trade them in the correct order or something.. ;_;

If you do this with more than one person, how does it work? Say, I do this with one and we both get signed wands, then I go do it with someone else, do they get a wand with my name and I get another prize from the list since I have one already?

Anyone know what that green Ex Romance Potion is for? I don't remember any other valentine's items other than the NQ/HQ wands in the dat files.

You choose from list of prizes everytime you complete the event, cant get wands if you already have it though

Trade the completed chocolate back to your initial male NPC

Ill use it in a bit, but i hear the romance potion just gives HP, hm

I wanna ask.. if i drop my NQ wand (unsigned) and do the quest again with only one parther.. can i get NQ wand (w/ signed) again? have anyone try it before?

you should be able to get the NQ wand again, i dont think S-E would screw you over with just "one NQ wand onry!"

Friend got HQ. However, he only did the event in one nation. He said he got:
1st time - Charm Wand
2nd time - Romance Potion
3rd time - Used Romance Potion, got Charm Wand +1
not quite sure how it goes, but some info that may be of use
