Does anyone know the order of the days, or the RL time it takes for an entire day to pass? This would be REALLY helpful for someone(me) who doesn't want to sit there for hours waiting for light day, so I could just log on, get back to town, feed the plants in my mog house, and go. Any help would be appreciated.

The weeks is:
Fire >> Earth >> Water >> Wind >> Ice >> Thunder >> Light >> Dark
Each day is /about/ 1 hour in real time.

it just strikes me, doesn't the japanese use that to characterize their days. What I mean is, fire is to Monday and so on so forth.

Real life = Vana

half hour = Half a Day
15 minutes = 6 hours
7 and a half minutes = 3 hours
3 minutes and 40 seconds = 1 and a half hour
2 and a half minutes = 1 hour
1 minute and 15 seconds = half an hour

In Japanese the characters go in this order I think:
Sunday: Sun
Monday: Moon
Tuesday: Fire
Wednesday: Water
Thurseday:Tree
Friday: Gold
Saturday: Soil
However, it has been a long time since I've studied japanese so they may be off a twee bit.

Do you have to get RSE piece by piece or all in one large sum.

piece by piece ;_;
basically if you have the quest started with the goblin in jeuno... you look at that timer, see when your RSE is "up" and go to that location. then you have to kill monsters there and get a treasure chest key to drop. if you open up the chest (random spawn out of set spawn points) in the right cave and at the right "time" for your race (each race gets 1 vanadiel week before it changes again) you get a "magical pattern", which you take back to the goblin in jeuno.
then he lets you choose which piece of rse you want.
then you run back to the cave and do it all over.
then you cry and wish it was the whole set and not just one piece

sadly, on ifrit mithran rse is the most expensive. last i checked, EACH PIECE was 40-80k. can't remember which was the most costly though.
my taru friend got his rse pajamas for ~20k. there's no justice, i say.

Um...Vana 'diel has 8 days. So...wouldn't it be 8 hours for it to be 1 week in-game?

Myskhal, the timer is not off, my guess is Caelestis isnt taking into account time zones, i knew the zone its for forget it now though lol, but i used that for my RSE and it was right on.
