I'm curious if this is the class that gets to track NM by using long range scanning or something. I think that would be a nifty abilty. smile.gif

Ah, that helps explain some of my befuddlement. How much larger is the scanning range? 1,2 grid blocks?

BST's wide scan increase in range at lvl 20, 40 and 60. But will always remain smaller than RNG. And yeah you can use it for NMs and NPCs I think.

Automatic. And the range really is dependent on level. As a ranger sub I get 2-3 blocks of Scan, however my friends BST (Level 63 or so) can scan like 6+ blocks. I think I've seen him miss all of 1 ram in La Thiene when he wanted em.

Quick Edit by myself: Most NM's spawn in the relatively same spot so the scanning ability doesn't help much for things that are widely hunted. Such as Leaping Lizzy who very often spawns near the Column, Or Jaggedy Jack who constantly spawns near the south mountainside. Scan really shines for things like Sheep/Ram hunting or Elemental Hunting when they do spawn somewhat randomly.

Remote scan is where you choose a smaller portion on the map to scan.

It helps if you want to avoid the 60+ mobs that are being listed in one go, when you do a widescan.
