okay. heres what i know... a quest named "fit for the prince" i got from san doria castle (chetteu `d orko or something) from halven. anyone done the quest? cuz i need help. =D

you have to find another player (female character) who fits the description given to Halver.

once you find this character wandering around on the streets (this is another human player's character by the way) ask them nicely that this is a quest in San D'oria yada yada.

note that you can't just create a new character fitting the description and waltz a level 1 no subjob and rank character into the Chateau.

anyway, if you manage to find the girl, a cutscene starts.

the quest bearer gets the Castor Ring. Ex/rare lvl 1 no attributes.

the other female adventurer gets the Pollux Ring. Ex/rare lvl 1 no attributes.


I've seen the Castor and Pollux ring actually crafted, as well. Lvl 1, non ex/rare. Someone was selling it on their bazaar. however, i'm unable to find more information on these two intriguing and seemingly useless rings.

I got the castor ring, you can use it with i think wind crystal to take of the ex thing. At first i tought that was for the ring for wedding, but now we know that theres no quest involved in wedding (it would have been nice...) so i don't know, I've heard a thing about engraving your name on it but.... anyway really don't know what it is for!

From what I understand, you can remove the RARE/EX attributes by using a higher-level wind crystal (I forget what its called, the one you have to get from a guild) on the ring. I suppose it makes sense, since it's sort of "engraving" your name onto your spouse's ring.

okay. so now i just have to yell "Looking for a mithra with 2 bla bla on either side of the face?" or just search - mithra to try getting a mithra that suits the description he gives me?? =D well well. thanks for the help!!! continue wit hur little ring chat there... i wanna hear more! =D

I suspect the rings were part of the marriage quest for the Japanese population, requiring much more in game work as well as being married in real life... I think. Since the marriage system for the NA players was changed, the rings aren't part of the package. That's just some suspicions of mine based on the info I've come across though.

and that whole married in real life shit isnt true! but i would have loved to have a wedding quest. a lot more than this friggin lottery thing.
