So I was thinking, what would you think of items that would be purchasable using Chevrons and Ballista Points?

Like after you get a certain number of a specific type of Chevron (lets take my job, RDM, where I would have X number of Red Ballista Chevrons acquired), you can use BP to buy a piece of body armor that looks like a modified version of RDM AF. And it would be purely for looks like the nation Aketons, or perhaps with stats that only activate in Ballista (to keep the various people that don't even care about the game from suddenly showing up to score whore). But it would also have a spot on one of the arms where any current Chevron in your Key Items is displayed.

Or weapons that have Latent effects that deactivate once you have Gate Breach...

Or just throwing ideas out there, what would you think would make Ballista more rewarding in terms of actually able to show others your accomplishments as you're walking around Jeuno. Or how it would let people quickly know that you take the game seriously.

I think that's a really cool idea. As Thf, I'd like some sort of armor that'd give like: When holding atleast 1 petra, enhances "flee" effect. Or like you can purchase a belt with 2000 Ballista Points when you have 150 Thief chevrons. Belt would be like Dispense: 1 petra 5 charges 24hrs D:

I like the idea though, sounds fun. ^^ Honestly I think they should have people monitor ballista matches. >_> That's how the scoring should go, in terms of how many pts you get at the end. Then they can mark you down for talking trash, and failing at pwning someone. >_> <_<

Hmm, I gotta say, this is a cool idea. I mean, they did it before with Garrison, like the earring that gives you Refresh during one. Why not Ballista? It's like they don't want people to play for some reason.

yea this seems like a cool Idea, i mean im a 68WHM taru and i aint figured out how to make money yet, and tele-taxi'ing just sucks, my WHM has capped clubs and is 68WHM/34NIN Hexa Strike FTW! but i do feel that they should make it so White mages can have same level Clubs as a DRK does a scythe, i mean come on, we get a few enfebling spells, 3 banis spells that cost alot! of MP and holy which also costs 99 mp for like 200-300 damage o.O my WHM can do well in ballista's on 1V1, DRKs are easy with their slow scythes, (cast slow, paralyze and silence) they cant do alot aafter that, i just keep up stoneskin and Ichi and then kill them with clubs with 60-70 a hit, but imagine if i could actually have capped clubs, then maybe WHM would not be a little job that people laugh at, not that alot of people laugh at mine anymore ^.^

This is a way to show our love for ballista outside of the game itself. i mean the chevrons we get are only seen during matches; if we get items to wear we can show it off outside of the game.
