Sorry if this has been mentioned had a search but couldnt find anything.
its been stated that you can
login using a account created on your PC to make a 360 beta character, thts cool saves trouble creating a new
account.
but.
I was wondering once the 360 version is up and running, if i went out got me self a
360 set it up with internet etc then slapped in FFXI 360 version would i be able to enter my account information
from the PC version and carry on playing. basically using my PC account on the 360, am sure many would also like
to know this.
Im asking because well the 360 is powerful and id like to be able to play ff11 downstairs
spwraled out on the sofa rather than in ultimate pain sitting up right at my PC desk. i wanted to do this with the
PS2 but im sure i heard it was not possible also the game is stuck in low res and well PS2 online never really
took off.

:yes
In fact, you can login using any client. You can use you your PC login information, and use the Xbox
360 or PS2 client. You can go to a friend's house and use their client. You can install the game on a work PC
and play, come home and login on your PS2 (although you may not have a job if you do that often).
I frequently
go back and forth between my PC and PS2, and plan on doing the same with my 360 when the software comes
out.
There are only three cavets to using multiple clients:
1) All your character information will
be there no matter what client you use. With the EXCEPTION of: Map markers, Sort History (for spells, items, AH),
and Macros. These are saved locally on the client machine, not the FFXI server. So they won't be there if you
go from PC to PS2, but they'll still be on the PC when you get back to it.
2) You can only login one
client at a time. So if you're logged in your PC and then run downstairs and login using your Xbox 360, the PC
will get kicked off FFXI.
3) FFXI does not even care which regional client you use. That is, you can
import a JP PC client and use it, or if you are in Europe you can import the NA PC client. It DOES care about
it's registration codes, and you can't mix regions up with those. For example, if you were in EU and bought the
NA FFXI/RotZ/CoP disc, you can not go out and buy the EU version of ToAU; because you started off using NA codes,
you have to continue using NA codes. This last one really isn't an issue with many except those in EU, AU, NZ,
etc., where most players imported clients from different regions to play.

There
is one other caveat: You can only purchase and alter account details (CC number, Content IDs, User details and I
think even password) on a client of the correct version.
