Hey

everyone,

I wanted to ask honest advice about whether to come back to the game. FFXI has been my home in

the online gaming world for ages. I miss it tremendously in some respects, but the one thing that caused me to

want to leave is how the devs for the game does not seem to want to fix the damn economy, and that the gil

selling/buying crap actually absolutely destroyed the economy on my server. By the time I saw Scorpion Harnesses

selling for 20 mil I figured the game was far gone beyond any hope for repair. Now I have been gone for a number

of months by this point, but I am wondering from an honest perspective, is it worth coming back to? Have the devs

actually addressed the glaring problems with the economy? Or is it still the same bad stuff on the same bad

channel? Like I said, I miss the game, but I would like to play in a world that does not have this kind of

problem.

Hope that makes sense and hope ppl can give me some insight and perspective on this. Thanks in

advance ppl and cheers.

Well... They

banned 700 accounts, with total of 300 billion gil... People went nuts about it and started selling everything on

lower price while it was high... The deflation caused prices down over 50% in Cerberus, atleast. Chocobo prices go

down faster, so Jeuno chocobos can't really cost more than 1k and that's pretty rare. If the economy is your

only problem, it's been "fixed"... The prices still keep going down.

Though I think this wasn't

permament, considering they can make new mules to pile up the money... SE can only slow down the inflation. And

you know, they have really said that they won't touch the AH as in put limits on prices... It's always caused by

the player and they let it that way.

I'd say try one more time if you dare.
