Those
quests could be for:
- The pass to get to the Ali Baba Empire or whatever you call it
- Prerequisite for
Aht Urugan missions
- Prerequisite for a map of the AL Zhabi or whatever the capital is called
no one
really knows, except for SE, may be completly useless and just thrown out there to tell us more about Aht Urugan
for all we know...

All you
know is this may give you something more at Salaheem's Sentinels in Al Zhabi. Maybe a prerequisite for Assault or
Mog Lockers ? I won't really know since i did all 4.

No
-one really knows what those quests are for.... but its so much fun to speculate.
My personal opinion is
that each sentinal badge is colour coded, and you can have all 4 as key items, if the reward end goal of that
quest was one thing that you were given earnt then i dont think they would of bothered with the 4 differant
coloured badges (each colour reprisents the primary colour of the nation you got the badge in).
So i think
that each coloured badge unlocks a mission/quest strand for that particular city, kinda like the starter missions
for each nation when you first start the game, but this time jeuno is included. I also think that much like the
original nation missions they will all converge to join the same storyline.. much like the run up to the shadow
lord fight in 5-3. This makes some sense to me as, and I do disagree with this, but many people thought cop
storyline too rigid and difficult... I personally am really enjoying the storyline for cop (snoll tzar fight
comming up), but I think S.E. will try to appease the majority of those playing by including a storyline that is
alot more casual... wanna just shoot through the missions then just do them from the perception of only one of the
mission strands... breeze through it and get access to the new GOD area, and your happy, want to really immerse
yourself in the whole storyline do the mission strands for all four nations.
Maybe thats what the badges
are for and maybe they are used for something else entirely, but I do think that either way S.E. will head down a
similar road to the one i just descibed concerning missions. With each new expansion the storyline gets alot more
interesting and indepth. The original nation missions started with missions that really had no real context to any
over riding storyline then they all tied up for the shadow lord fight, then seperated from the other nations
missions to get back to a storyline that concerned that nation. There wasnt anything attention grabbing about
these missions and the storyline was very basic.
Then we had the RoZ storyline which had you running
around and exploring the new areas that came with that expansion chasing down some badass dudes that were trying
to destroy the world and open it as an amusement park for the gods (I'm trying not to spoil that story in the
slight chance you havent done it), this story was alot more interesting, but its biggest drawback was it was
cripplingly short and all the missions could be done in a week easily (although most people havent done the final
mission, as there is nothing to gain from it... I havent done the final fight either, just i cant solo it and no-
one wants to do it >.<) this set of missions lack of length really hurt it as it was too short to tell a proper
story.
Then we come to CoP, in my opinion hands down the best story and i actually wanted to do more
missions for the sole reason of seeing the whole story (sea access, and a cool ring are also a nice bonus), but
what is one mans heaven is another mans hell, and just as i loved it, a great many of you thought it was too
difficult, or too long, (bloody kids today they want the moon on a stick and they want it yesterday, and if they
dont have to work to get it then thats even better). Anyway few can disagree that the storyline for cop was the
the best so far, you may of hated everything else about cop missions, but storyline was very well done. So I think
that the storyline for TAU will be just as in depth and long, but only if you want it to be. I know that if S.E.
does go this route and those badges are the key to unlocking each mission strand then i will unlock all 4 rather
than just the 2 i have so far.
Hmmm I think I might of just hijacked this thread, talking about past,
present, and future storylines. I'm sorry, but yeah i think that the badges will be used to unlock
missions.
