dual snakes symbol of Ahl Zahbi appears in Sea Serpent Grotto, the port in Norg leading to 'somewhere' where we

expansion is Near East with the only talks of "Far East" being that the Near East is at war with the Far East.

Maybe... the endgame ToAU areas are in the Far East?

anything, the influx of new players will be mainly due to increased advertising and the expansion than the 360

though. How many potential 360 players really could say they had no option to play the game before?



Obviously, ToAU is going to be a big thing in determining whether or not there's still much a population

in a year or two. I think most of the high level population is getting to the point where we're holding out for

new stuff in the expasion...if it wasn't coming, or if it turns out to be more crap like alot of CoP was, I think

you'll find a lot of people leaving the game this year.

That being said, SE is going to milk the game for

all they can, of that you can be assured. They're probably already working on the next expansion plans, and from

what I understand they have a roadmap for a whole lot more game than we have now. Just look at Everquest really,

they can keep adding and adding...

Usually they release expansions once ever 1 and a half years about, from the

schedual they showed of ToA they'll be done implementing new content into ToA in december, so I imagine will see

the next expansion at next years E3.

And there's many ways this game can keep going for years to come,

from the looks of it ToA is SE's way of fixing past things and keeping the game alive. But one thing i'd like to

see is them upgrading the game in a couple years to be more nextgen ready, switch the graphics engine they're

using currently and give the game a make over, that would be one of the biggest money makers they could do, not

only will it make pc players who are ready to ditch ps2, but it would attract a several idiots who like perty

graphics .

I can see myself playing this game for a loooong time, maybe not like I do currently but more

casual for sure, the storyline is great, and keeps getting better with each expansion.

Also, remember FFXI has been on the scene since late 1999 and its still pulling

its weight (Lets not forget Everquest I, the game is still around and still has a large fanbase). Graphics are

one thing (SE will have to eventually switch to a new engine, there's no doubt in that) but its the content that

keep players on FFXI. SE has already stated that they'll keep producing if players keep on playing, and I don't

see any other MMOs that are worth my time, so I'll be sticking with FFXI for a while.

This thread is stupid. Level 30s shouldn't worry about 'expansions', they should worry about the base game.

There is always items from West, North, East(both), and South. Raxa has been in the game since before CoP. It's

likely well know the next expansion when we see them copyright a name.

I seriously need to say. Though EQ keeps adding, and adding, and adding, (yes I know theres a LOT of

expansions out that have came out for EQ in the period of 5-6 years, I play it off & on and my dad is a full-time

player on it), every expansion they toss out is the same BS. Just running through more caves. Yeah sure they have

a lot of expansions but god ****, if you look at all their expansions..it's all the same shit. Nothing new AT ALL

really except maybe a few different mob names.

FFXI planned, start to finish already.
They have had it planned since the day it was made, they know whats

going to happen,
where the story line ends, an where it starts.

It's depending on if the population and

money they get increases, or decreases if they will come near that end, and work on yet another story line to

continue.

There's no real say that there will be another exspansion, but more or less, there more then

likely will be.
But really, at level 30, as one stated before, you shouldn't have much concern.
You havent

even started to notice RoZ, maybe some CoP as it's lower capped.

They have said before I belive on Blue Gartr forums, a interview that ToUA will be more based on solo-

actions, and high level end-game. (Unless im mistaken and read, or can't remember this correctly)

Can't stop something as long as the company still has a large enough fan base to buy that new

car, pay the rent and buy some food. It's when that gets too small will it end.

wasen't planning on this game to be what it is. I remember after NA release they said it would probably only go 2

years then start something new. Looks like they scratched that idea.
