Hadyn :
Too bad Wikipedia is user updated.
Which means Wikipedia definitions may or may not be true, but will always be biased to one side or another when it comes to things like music.

Well here's my thoughts. Get what you will out of them.

I dislike emo. It's too whiney for my tastes. Also... I prefer a heavier music.

I enjoy Lamb of God, Trivium, Mastodon, Metallica, Children of Bodom etc.
Then again... I also like Jimi Hendrix, Joe Satriani, and ZzTop.
Then there's probably a jillion bands I forgot to list (just not emo! or country :/... or rap.)

I know that simply by posting that here I'll get flamed. Hell I could have wrote something like "I LOVE EVERYTHING!!!!!" and still been flamed (probably worse lol) but I'm ok with that.

THE END biggrin.gif

Meh . . . Emo is strange . . . I either end up really liking a group or absolutely hating them . . . There is no in between for me with emo.

I really love Grudge music. I still listen to Smashing Pumpkins, Nirvana, and Alice in Chains more than any of today's popular music.

On another note... As far as rap goes, unless its underground, it fucking sucks.

modern rappers CANNOT SING. 50 cent singing sounds like a fucking newscaster speaking with the same lame beat in every song.

Underground Hip Hop is awesome. I must agree on that.

I must retract my rap statement I suppose.

Some CAN be good. I like old Ice Cube and some Snoop Dogg too lol (Today Was a Good Day by Ice Cube in perticular though :x)

Also... Underground is definately better than mainstream... so I guess I should have said Mainstream Rap I can't stand.

Black Star is Mos Def. And Talib Kweli. But yeah, a lot of the rap I like has been on the Chappelle show, sadly enough. Common, Mos Def, Talib, Kanye, etc.

It's pretty depressing when you have over 200 GB of music and less than 2% of it is good rap.
