could get hate before, yes. You couldn't get claim by this method before though, and that's a huge
difference.
I can't access the PoL site from here (and can't even see the linked images) but this sure
doesn't look like it's the same as it always was... (and hardly anyone in that linked thread seems to have any
idea what they're talking about...)

I read it
as you are unable to claim a monster unless you garner more hate then the person who has it now.
In other
words, if someone has hate and it goes yellow, you cannot claim it until you break past the hate the other person
has. It will STAY yellow until either you do so, or the other person claims it. If anything this makes HNM camps
much more safe because you cannot just claim with a single dia or provoke and then wait for it to wipe the
fighting LS.
What this does to PL's i dont know, might not effect them at all since the PL isnt activly
trying to claim the monster, could wreck it completely which means people will have to *gasp* acually play the
game the first few lvls!
