If waiting a day will always remove the chocopass/tickets/crap from the items you can recieve then you can get all the item easily before the end of the event if you start today or tomorrow. There are 16 days left, divide that by 2 (one waiting day and one prize day each time) and that's 8 more items you can get. Apparently there are 10 items you can get: homing/return rings, 3 chocobo stable items, 3 moogle belts, adventurer certificate, and chocobo wand. Just go get the homing and return ring from conquest points and since all the items are rare/ex you wont get the same one twice and you should be able to get the 8 remaining items.

Hehe, the hilarious thing is that - assuming this works - you should be able to get multiple Chocobo Wands.
After all, they are the only non-booby prizes in the list that aren't Rare.

Haha, that's badass! Dual Wield Chocobo Wand FTW... assuming they stack that would be an extra hour of riding time.

You can use a Chocopass when you would be normally unable to ride a Chocobo. The tickets can be used regardless of your level.
Also, choose to take prize on 3rd day and only got a Bronze belt. Went to all 3 cities to see if that would make any difference.

All I got so far on my main is a chocobo pass... which I can't even use since I've had a licence for 2 years now. I'm starting to think this might be random. I hope so. I better get something better tomorrow.

Okay, so the "Wait" thing definitely hasn't been disproven yet...
Just as a question to the people who've been getting Chocobo Wands - Do you already own pretty much everything else this event rewards?

I didn't own one item you can get from the event and got the choco wand as the first reward after choosing to wait for 3 days.

I selected "Wait" once, but waited two or three days (busy with other stuff) and got the Gold Chocobo Belt.
I'm guessing what Belt you get is based on how long you've been playing. Gold = 3 years. Silver = 2 years. Bronze = 1 year. Nada = Less than one year. The only other special thing that might qualify me for it is that I have 80,000+ battles fought and 65,000+ enemies defeated, with under 100 KOs. What can I say? I do things by the numbers (and don't deathwarp).
If you've already got all the Belt you're qualified for (which, as noted above, may be none at all) then you have a chance to get the Chocobo Wand, I'd guess.

I've added up pretty much everything I've seen from various threads on Allakhazam, Killing Ifrit, Somepage and of course my own findings.
This little survey of mine has counted a total of 104 outcomes. Some of these may overlap, but I'd expect at least 80-90 of these are solid:
Cracker: 0 Wait (6).
Chocopass: 0 Wait (17), 3 Wait (1).
Chocobo Ticket: 0 Wait (14).
Return Ring: 0 Wait (2), 1 Wait (2).
Homing Ring: 0 Wait (1), 1 Wait (4), 2 Wait (2).
Kingdom Stables Collar: 0 Wait (1).
Republic Stables Medal: 0 Wait (2).
Federation Stables Scarf: 0 Wait (1), 1 Wait (1).
Adventuring Certificate: 0 Wait (14), 1 Wait (3), 2 Wait (1), 3 Wait (1).
Bronze Moogle Belt: 0 Wait (9), 1 Wait (1), 2 Wait (1), 3 Wait (1).
Silver Moogle Belt: 0 Wait (11), 1 Wait (1).
Gold Moogle Belt: 1 Wait (1), 2 Wait (1).
Chocobo Wand: 1 Wait (1), 2 Wait (2), 3 Wait (2).
Now these should of course not be taken as any form of definition or hints as to how long to wait for a certain reward. Due to the lack of results for 2 or 3 days' of "Wait", it's possible that waiting 3 days is no better for the item you'd get than waiting 1 day. Either way, these results strongly suggest that waiting 1 day twice (2 gifts per 4 days) gets you better overall presents than waiting 3 days (1 gift per 4 days).
That all said, here are some potentially vital things to be noted:
Every event item has been rewarded for taking a present without choosing "Wait" except the Gold Moogle Belt and the Chocobo Wand.
A couple of Chocobo Wands and Gold Moogle Belts have been awarded to people who've chosen "Wait" just once, though they tended to have everything else.
Nobody has chosen "Wait" and then received either a Cracker, a Chocopass or a Chocobo Ticket.*
*One person on Allakhazam claimed to wait 3 days and received a Chocopass. I do not actually believe this. He might have literally waited, and not actually chosen the "Wait" option.
Statistically, I would consider this to be pretty strong evidence in favour of choosing "Wait", and if everything is available after choosing "Wait" just once, arguably the best method of attacking this event would be "Wait, Present, repeat."

I can disprove the wait = no chocobo passes theory; I just waited one day and got a Chocobo Pass, without having my inventory full to check which item I'd be getting. I can post a pic if you'd like, although I'd think it's unnecessary.

I chose wait, waited a day, came back to get a Bronze Moogle Belt.
Today I just said screw it and asked for it then and there. Just got an Adventurer's Certificate.

Darnit. That's bad news for people trying to get everything, I'm sure.
Still, if true, that's one bad prize against plenty of good prizes. Far better odds than the 50% or so odds of getting junk without waiting.

So are we talking RL days, in game days or is it based off of Japanese time?
