I apologize if this has been discussed before, I don't read the pvp boards much but. .
Anyone who plays smn or bst in ballista knows how annoying it is to be hunted and not have a means of defending themselves, because your pets are auto Slept/bound/wtfpwned on sight.
Heres a solution: What if in Pvp, players had to follow the same hate rules as with normal combat in regards to pet and master.
For instance, a mean scary monk goes to hunt a summoner who is all alone. The summoner gets out a carbuncle, and the carby auto attacks the monk. Because Carby hits the monk, and the summoner otherwise has no hate onto the monk, the monk's target is force switched to carbuncle.
I don't believe this is overpowered because lets say in that same scenerio. . . of Mnk vs smn:
A dark knight runs up to the smn, and since carby has no hate linked with the drk,and carby is currently keeping the monk away, the drk insta kills the smn with a gulliotine.
This would not IMO over power pet classes, it would just make them not get singled out so much.
My only other suggestion would be to make all pets un-sleepable and un-bindable, if SE won't impliment the first suggestion.

yeah but then a DRG or BST would attack you with pet and then after the pet has some hate just own you from behind

I would love this in ballista, Even with the 20 min timer on call wyvern I would (unless with /mage) never use it because its such an easy GB barrage + slug shot instant kill... Though to be honest melee build TP off BST and SMN pets... Maybe if they added like a provoke for BST and SMN pets and more defence on the wyvern and more restistance against magic. I guess we can hope right lol

An improved resistance to bind/sleep would be good enough for me.
