hi, i was just wondering if: first off, if cloth crafting would even be worth it.
second: is there any effective way to make my crafting skill raise faster (like what to make to raise the skill higher. [would making certain items with clothcraft raise my skill more than others])

Thanks for the help ^.^

Talk to the guild masters. The hardest recipe that the masters give you will be the one that raises your skill the most. You'll know who this person is, because they charge for their skill enhancement.

1-10: Grass materials, capes through headgear.
1-16: Monk materials from grass, kenpogi was my main.
12-21: Yagudo feathers into fletchings. Expect a lot of failures, but dirt cheap.

Go hunting in giddeus with a moderately levelled (8-13) job, you'll get feathers, necklaces and wind crystals off the yagudo.

Grass thread x3: Wind crystal Yagudo Necklace
Grass cloth x1: 3x grass thread earth crystal
Cape: 2x grass cloth 1x grass thread earth crystal
Headgear: 2x grass cloth 1x grass thread wind crystal.

Kenpogi: 1x grass thread, 3x grass cloth, earth crystal.
Yagudo fletchings: 2x yagudo feathers, wind crystal.

Thus, all I need now is blacksmithing, and I can start me evil bronze bed cartel.

Im just gonan steal the thread...

What about cotton. I find it extremely hard to get cloth. Im leveling a theif, just to be able to steal from the mandragoras. The problem is...its still very slow.

Is there a way to get cotton much faster? (not buying it)

To tell you the truth, i skipped the entire cotton phase.

1) take Hachimakis to 12
2) Wind day w/ synth and just start suiciding Yag Feathers onto Wind Crystals. It helps that I can farm wind clusters in tahrongi very easily. but 200 for a stack of feathers, and you can do this until at least 17 (but at 17 you should switch to flax flowers to make linen thread -- keep it!! -- and then turn it all into cloth once that gets you to 19).

cloth is fun, and you can find the materials, though some are harder to come by than others. However, when you get higher up you also need to level other crafts like gold and leather in order to make the really good stuff. I'm going to stick with it though, I found gaiters really help your skill rise early on.
