alchemy 'how to' type thing

ok im basically looking for a guide of exactly what items to synth at what lvl to raise your skill... ive seen such guides for goldsmithing and blacksmithing but none for alchemy or any of the other guilds sad.gif

currently im only alchemy lvl 5 and cant seem to get it up anymore.. tsuaras, beeswax, deodorizers, animal glue none of those seem to raise my skill at all anymore and i was able to synth a poison dust (which is labled in the brady guide as a being of recruit rank, which im not) but i had to buy the advanced synth for that...

any help would be appreciated

you don't have to be the rank they suggest in the brady guide... it's actually not a very helpful guide for levels in crafting. you can do things that are "above your level", you just have to pay for the support.

i don't have a complete guide or anything but i suggest making the poison dust in a level or two. first try raising your level a bit by making silencing potions. its tedious to kill mandras for the 2-leaf buds, but at least they're free happy.gif (go to saru and take the other ingredients with you)

after that, just go buy stacks of yellow globes and get the imaging support and sit there and craft poison dust.

after that stops raising your level, move onto mercury, then you can combine the two to make poison potions. i think after that i made some kodoku which sells back to the shops for a decent amount.

that should get you up to about lv 18 or so... good luck. smile.gif

www.gamefaqs.com has a really good guide on lvling your alchemy

im a lvl 23 alchemist so if you have any questions dont hesitate to ask

if you were talking about the recipe list one then i would have to disagree with you, its not a full list and it only goes up to skill lvl 50 not to mention the fact that it has a terrible translation X_X
