/wave. 75 Blu from remora. I didn't remember to take screenshots while doing this, but i'll try to next time, figured i'd let you know though (and sorry if this has already been posted)
While playing around with Jailer of Temperance and his three different weaknesses (Slash / Blunt / Pierce) , after some frustrating experimenting I discovered a few blu physical type spells that can hurt him during each of these 3 phases. Slashing type -- Vertical Cleave. Blunt type -- Frenetic Rip, Ram Charge. Piercing type -- Disseverment.
I'm sure a few others are efficient, but these spells all averaged around 300-580+ damage when used, except for ram charge which stayed in the 200's. I'll try to take some screenshots next time , but I hope this has been helpful if anyone didn't already know ^^

Interesting, did ramcharge do a constant 200's without sneak attack or chain affinity?

Sorry for the detail lack heh. The fight against Jailer of Temperance was done as Blu / Nin , averaging those damage ratio's without CA. When using CA, they would usually increase potential damage. Ram Charge was constant 200's on it's own, as Disseverment and the others averaged their 300-500+ range ( I swap to STR and ACC gear when I use physical spells. Done in this setup, plus sole sushi as food type. )

Did JoL, went as blu/blm
I don't have much HP gear so I have max around 1300 ish HP, of course massive amoutns of aoe don't let me stay near cap anyway.
Also to note, every single target in a line hit with breath all takes samage damage... UNLESS its on the "edge" of a breath in which case it was taking less.
Also enervation is a soorta "aoe gaze" like yawn I belive mainly for the reason of "no effect" when I used it on the back of JoL.
Also like to add all of these spells were used at random and or with burst affinity when its up, elemental seal was saved for 1000 needles.
feather tickle landed the most, enervation also when I hit the face, light of penance was maybe 75%, friehgtful roar seemed like 100%.
Thats one big Ice break... O_o

BCNM: The Hills Are Alive
Tartaruga Gigante
I was doing nice damage with CA+SA+ Cannonball 500ish I forgot cocoon so I belive with the right setup this could rise nicely.
Frost Breath was never resisted for about 500 damage. My ls basically had me be a SC partner for the most part but I did get to cast Lowing it stuck but didn't verify the stopping of the regen was busy doing diamonhide after SC+MB barrage I must say {Blue Mage} can do well on this one.

Lowing doesnt work on the turtles anymore, it was nerfed before the multihit spells.

I don't understand a few things about end-game blu. If anyone could answer my questions, then I would appreciate it.
1. Why use cannonball over vertical cleave on certain mobs such as Kirin? Would it not make more sense to use vertical cleave considering it has the same multiplier at all % tp (assuming most have difficulties getting a lot of tp w/o meditate or the like)?
2. Is there a point to using CA with spells like Vertical Cleave which have the same multiplier at any % tp?

A) Properties. Cant make light with Vertical Cleave
Kirin is usually(USUALLY) kited. Cannonball= Ranged. Good for kited mobs

One of the most unknown things about BLU(Comming from nonblu) is the fact that CA makes you use the tp. Vertical cleave without Chain Affinity will just do regular damage. Chain Affinity is what boosts it and lets the tp modifyer kick in. So yes, there is a reason once you understand blu.

Not to mention CA makes your Stat modifier matter more.

It seems all the HNMLS's on my server don't appreciate blue mage to their fullest endgame potential. They say that anything we can do, another job can do better.. we can just do it all ok.
Please can someone explain our R/EX job uses?
I'll knock a couple out right here;
-Can't use headbutt on faf because of flail.
-TP drain thing has been smacked around like a dead horse.
edit: fixed an edit lol

Commenting about that flail thing...
The mob dosent actually "move" or turn when its headbutt... its just an animation like when a player is hit. So theres no chance of flail from headbutting
