I been looking in the POL folder for about ... ever. I even did a windows search for documents created today, and it came up with nothing. PrintScreen is screenshot button, right? I'd hate to lose my 666 damage barrage screenshot.

Plz help.

My Computer > Local Disk C: > Program Files > PlayOnline > SquareEnix > PlayOnlineViewer > pub > home01 > open > ScreenShots > FinalFantasyXI

That's where they are... at least on my computer.

The way i get my screens is by using yhe POL viewer going to file manager then in screenshots i attach them to an email and send it to myself and save on my pc.

to take a screen though...you need to push scroll lock to hide the windows first, then take the screen.
itll make a camera noise to let you know, and itll put some text in your message window to let you know it took one.

... unless you used another program to take screen shots.. which incase would be elsewhere depending on what program you used^^

if you having problems, dont use fraps, and trying making your own FFXI folder where it should be, there mite have been an installation error that slipped by, so manually putting an empty folder with the right name in should fix it, so just check the above posts for where it is, i know where it is, but dont feel like typing it out, add the missing folder, turn fraps off, and try doing regular FFXI screenshots.

if your game runs fine, adding the folder shouldnt hurt anything, just make sure you add it in the right place with the right name.

Goddammit, I had a 1314 damage barrage screenshot taken ... I guess Scroll lock wasn't correct. ARG.

Damn, no wonder I never had any screenshots work; I forgot about scroll lock every time. :wall
Oh well...you live and learn. Hope it works this time.

After fiddling around with the controls I finally figured it out. I hit "Print Screen" and "Scroll Lock" at the same time. You should hear something like a camera lens opening and closing, and your log will say Snapshot Saved. To check it out go to your navigator and file manager so you can attach them to e-mails and messages. To see the files via windows (or whatever OS you have) go to:

My Computer > Local Disk C: > Program Files > PlayOnline > SquareEnix > PlayOnlineViewer > pub > home01 > open > ScreenShots > FinalFantasyXI
(thanks for saving me time caelestis)
