I can't see one of these threads in the first ten to twenty posts, so it's time for another one.
Why?
Because it's true.
A UI that looks like this cannot, in any way, be worse than the lack of a customizable, fully editable UI.
Oh, and FFXI is fucking slow. How long does it take to kill mobs? Six years? Right.
Plus you have to pay for each character after your first. We (WoW players) get 11 per server, and there are over 30 servers.
Anyway, I'm bored. I don't really care about your replies, since all of the cool FW people left (except for Abattoir).

In WoW, it took me like a week to get 1-36 (where i stopped playing).
Got all the gear i wanted for my druid at that lv. Then, it just got boring with all the little fucking 9 year olds all over the place. 'L4Wlz3r l3tz gu 2 SM guyz!!!!' Whenever i got into a group for SM, and it jsut go really annoying. Way too easy to get stuff in that game, way too easy to make gold, way too easy in general.
In FFXI, you have to work your ass off for the gear you want, you cant just say "hay guyz, l3ts g0 2 a 1nst4nc3" and gear your gear easy as that.
Not to mention, WoWs graphics are retarded.

If wow is so much better than ff11 then why arent you playing it? I dont know why you would come to a final fantasy 11 board to say how much anothre mmorpg is than the next because obiously, they are here for FF11, not wow. I dont know what kind of free time you had but you seem like your trying to convert people into liking another game, reminds me of those annoying jehova witnesses, like hey I know your x religion but please look into ours because its so much better!
Point is if you like wow that much, then by all means play it. Dont try to push your opinions on others, graphics arent everthing btw, theres people still playing galactica and pac man like they were released yesterday, its about how much fun a person has with the game itself. Thats called the human to game interface.

I've built up this image in my head that WoW players always criticize our game, while us FFXI players just keep to our own business and not aggressivley attack WoW unless provoked by someone like who started this thread. We don't bother to go after them b/c there's no reason. But that's just what I randomly came up with. Does it seem like that to anyone else?

You know, you either go to an inn or a main city and log out instantly, or you wait the 20 seconds if you're some random place?
Either way, you're all cracking me up. I don't even really care. FFXI is a great game, I just don't have the patience/time to wait two years to get an Osode and full AF2.
It's reassuring that I can still get the "omg u r reatrd" reaction at will, though.
