I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with this NM. If so what is the best strategy to use to defeat him?

SC+MB every time it comes back to your camp. I've also done it once it where you fight it at the shack till it goes "green eyes" then run back to a camp. If you search there should already be a good topic on this.

its an Easy thing. . . if you got a good alliance i would suggest both NIN and PLD tanks on the ready BLM's helped alot and Skillchains for the MB is where alot of the major damage came from

My LS does him fairly often, so I can give you some details. Kurrea has the potential to be either a very easy fight, or extremely challenging. His buffs all stack on themselves, and it's completely random which one's he'll get.

Scales glow = 50% magic reduction. This stacks, so the next time you'll get 25% damage on spells, then the next 12%...

Skin hardens = Stoneskin, invincible, or super defence boost. Whatever it is, people did 0 damage with weaponskills

Veins bulging in his head = We tried to figure this one for a while. It was either an INT boost, or some kind of berserk like move. Didn't seem that strong.

Muscles bulging = HUGE str boost, doubled the physical damage that it was doing.

Eyes glowing = HUGE magic attack boost, it's spells start doing double damage. This STACKS, this is where you get the huge damage on tornado and aeroga3 spells.

Surrounded by wind = Big wind spell comming up, that's all that we really figured. Every time he used this, he dropped a aeroga3 onto the allience.

Wounds disapper = This is the curing move, that's regaining all of that HP.

Face turns green = This clears ALL previous buffs, returning him to his begining state. VERY GOOD, as it makes all of your damage return to normal.

This is basically what I have my LS do. There's a bridge that leads to Tavnazian Safehold around the corner from Kurrea's shed. I place my guys all huddled together exactly half-way between that bridge, and Kurrea's spawn location. It's fairly close to a tower if that helps you locate the spot any.

First we send a thf to spawn him, and that thf also watches him every time he returns to his troth throughout the fight to announce status buffs to the alliance.

Next we do Darkness SC thats MB'd with ice spells every single time he returns. Now, take note that your melee will not have very much time to get off this SC, so make damn sure they're not trying to setup SATA. There is NOT enough time for that. Just pray their WS hits him, so you can have 4-8+ BLM's all MB him. With the right amount of BLM Kurrea can die in 2 SC's this way.

Also, don't do any other SC besides lvl 3 Darknes + Ice MB. You'll just be waisting your time. And make sure all your BLM bring echo drops. Kurrea has a thing for immediatly silencing everyone just as you do your SC.

My LS uses x2 SAM, and we call out SC's and I try to rotate all of my members capable of lvl 3 Darkness into the fight so they can have their fun. Mostly we do. Eviceration > Tachi: Gekko, Asuran Fists > Steel Cyclone, or any combination that works.

Surrounded by wind means hes immune to ranged attacks btw
