hey Strung... I Would love to help with the Avatars but im still working on fame for them... how much do you need to get each one? I had "level 8" in Jeuno but couldnt get it.

In anycase I would really like to help. so lemme know sometime.

My advice, not worth much, as I've only read up about them. Fight them on the day opposed to their element. Have the BLMs nuke like there's no tomorrow. Go in having bar-whatever cast on yourself(try not to cast it in the battle). If you have a bard, get the appropriate song. That's about it, as long as the tank(s) provoke every 30 seconds like clockwork, and you pull off a few skillchains of opposing elements, I've been told it'll pass in no time.

Well I've found that Taru blms 50 + are the most handy in summon fights but any whm 55 + is good to go and any blm 55 + cept maybe galka or elvaan could prolly make themselves useful as can be in a Avatar fight. The main goal for the whm is to keep the Bar spells up
ex. Barfira Barthundera...... Other then that if 2 of you are 50ish
then the rest of the party needs to be 70ish

of course it changes but people lvl 30 who want to "Help Out" arent gonna really do much. Its because the summon itself is lvl 65 with tons of Hit points
when you and everyone else goes hunting for EXP the mobs are usually 5-10 lvls higher then the party Hence Incredibly tough

so in theory when you hit the dunes at lvl 11 and the lizzys check as INC it is because at about lvl 17 or so u can solo one and make it out pretty scratched up
same with the summons if ur a lvl 55 its basically a Incredibly tough mob to you and your party
so it all depends on how much of a fight you want to have.I fought ifrit in a retarded party once

it took us 22 mins and was a nasty fight.
it all depends on what you want to deal with and the risk you want to take. Most japanese players in general do not take risks for you to walk away with a Avatar and them to have a possible 2 k + experience loss.

BTW at the 50 % mark Garuda once did 1500 dmg to me cause i was too close lol .......... i have 580 HP max titan once got one of my lvl 70 + members for 1300

alright cool, my fame is getting pretty high just need to get it a little higher, Bastok is prolly the area with my lowest fame. and Jeuno and San Doria seems as if i have alot, although I dont know what level each of the phrases I get from the fame checker are exactly, only vague guesses.

officially unlocked the Shiva quest

I should have had enough fame for the one linked in Jeuno fame ( I thought Rabao) but I still havent gotten it... perhapse I need hero fame status in jeuno?

So far Strung has got me Titan and Shiva.
All quest are unlocked now I just need the rest.
Hopefully soon
I think im going to stay WHM and just sub SMN when Strung gets up to lvl55 again (if it ever happens)
Still not sure yet. the SMN 2hour is just to fun.

yosty no avatars are linked to jueno :-( Rabao is linked directly to bastok :-P so if u can get titan you most likely can grab garuda in rabao. Lemme know when ya wanna knock up Shiva im down for it After the new update because im going to turn in my Shiva gift for helping trekk then so i can see the new item drops for the avatar fights are :cry

I unlocked Garuda last night actually shortly after I posted this... I am working on unlocking Ramuh and Ifrit as we speak I am "level 6" fame in Windhurst.

The biggest problem has been throwing a party together to actually got to town on the Avatars lately ..... u get a lot more time online then i do now a days so if im on one day and i find help for a avatar hunt ill let ya know. You and trekk are the number ones on my list to help people. I've had Lots of request of people wanting to hunt avatars but I turn them down because they are somewhere between lvl 30-40ish ...... I promise you can come as soon as i get one on the way today ill turn in all my pending Avatar quest gifts to see what the new items are after this patch :-) :-) i have shiva and ramuh to turn in :-) WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOt
