Hey All, it seems there is alot of bits and bobs appearing on this thread about Azimuth Circle II, How about we make one big topic about it and stick all your information here i will compile it into a Guide, i'm going to see if i can get it as close to Dyires as possible and if he can i'll hand the topic over to him if he contacts me anyways here goes nothing.

Background Information

The days just keep getting hotter and hotter! But according to our sources in the Mog House Management Union (M.H.M.U.), the officials from each nation have decided to hold another festival to beat the heat! Yes, the Sunbreeze Festival is back with its upbeat music and dancing to bring cool breezes down from the heavens to Vana’diel.

The rumor is out, and the nations are getting into the festive mood. Volunteers from various shops and guilds have gathered to create town decorations and fireworks for the festival, and the moogles are out searching the nations of Vana’diel for Rakapopo Dancers. The goldfish scooping merchants are also hard at work mass-producing super scoops that break under the weight of particularly jumpy fish.

And of course, the master alchemist Azima is hard at work on—you guessed it—Azimuth Circle II! Once again, adventurers will need to team up and maintain close communication in order to find a specific target. It should be easy with good teamwork, but this time the event will be held outside of town, so you will have to keep a lookout for monsters as well!

Azima claims that she decided to hold the event outdoors this year to add an extra dimension of excitement. So with your heart racing at the end of the day, you can don a yukata together and have an even greater appreciation for the beautiful sight of fireworks.

Nights filled with music, dancing, fireworks, and games… Be sure not to miss this year’s Sunbreeze Festival!

Guide

Goldfish Scooping

There isnt much involved in this, what you basically do is purchase a bunch of scoops from the NPCs, put the scoop in your ranged slot, settle yourself down by some water, and fish away. Once you catch a bunch of fish go to the NPC and talk to them, they will give you the points in accordence to the fish you've caught.

(I'll List out the Points per type of fish when i get some information, still need a few more fish, if anyone knows the points, i'd be grateful of they told me. I will credit them ^^)

Azimuth Circle

Ive heard diffrent things about this but i am going to stand by the theory that sounds the best (I Havn't done it yet, doing it with friend later)

The Theory goes: First of all fine a partner, lets give them names you being Person A and he being Person B(understand it more easily), once you start the event, You will be warped by the moogle to an area i.e Konschtat.(You will be capped at level 1 so be careful) You and your partner need to take turns in doing this, Person B (Your Partner) Rests and looks at his compass it will say an X amount of Yalms to your Checkpoint (A Distance Measurement), keep getting your partner to read it while you run all over the place keep doing this till your partner thinks your getting closer (Yalms will be going down) when you get to about 10-1 Yalms,Claim your item from the checkpoint you will get a warp item and a doll, once you have that you do the same thing for your partner once he has the item, trade each other the item and then use the warp item, and trade the doll to the moogle for a reward.

(I Will also get a list of the checkpoint and i will also get a list of Prizes)

I think thats about it, post your information around here and i'll see if i can pick some things up and add them in to help some people out who are stuck, Thanks

You dont zone out into the surrounding city zones. The mog will cap you at lvl 1 and send you to a zone such as la theine or konshtat. Youll appear with sneak invis on but they only stay for a few moments which means your going to have to run around as a lvl 1 dodging (and RESTING) near beastmen who will smash your face into the earth. Your given a warp glyph once you go to the zone that takes you back to your respective mogs event zone. You must rest in order to read your compass which will tell you the direction of your partners "Check Point" target. You cannot see or target your partners and vice versa so you have to communicate and find them for each other. There are multiple check points, you only get a few chances to inspect it to see if its the right one so make certain it is. If you try too many you will run out of trys and have to start over (I think you get 3 chances unsure). If you are successful you will find a type of "doll" from the checkpoint. If only one of you gets the doll you cant use it both are needed. Once you both get it warp back, trade dolls with your partner, and then in turn trade those to the moogle for a reward.

Oh and also it seems like the correct checkpoint can move, so have fun with that, this event is a pain gl.

The first time you do the Azimuth Circle event, you are given a direction for your partner to go in, not yalms. I'm not sure how many tries you get at getting the checkpoint at this stage. You and your partner must each get a doll from your respective checkpoints, then use the gate glyph the moogle gave you to warp back to town, then trade your dolls to each other, and then trade your doll to the moogle for your prize, which is the NQ yukata that dispenses Muteppo fireworks. (I got a stack of fireworks when I used mine, not sure if that's the standard amount or if I just got lucky.)

The second time you do the event, you and your partner both need to be wearing your NQ yukatas when you talk to the moogle. And this time is when you are given the xxx yalms message from the compass. It works pretty much like radar, the farther your partner is from their checkpoint, the higher the number, and the closer your partner is to their checkpoint, the lower the number is. You only get one chance to guess the correct checkpoint at this stage. x.x And some of the checkpoints are really close together, so it's important to make sure you've got the right one. The reward for the second time is the HQ yukata, which dispenses Datechochin fireworks. (I also got a full stack of these when I used mine.)

My partner and I did the event 3 more times after getting both of our yukatas, once in Bastok, Windy, and Sandy. We got fans each time, so I'm guessing that the yukatas are the only big event item you can get from doing this.

Also, we got sent to La Theine twice, and to Tahrongi Canyon all other times. I dunno if the event is still a little broken or if the moogles just *really* liked Tahrongi Canyon.

And if anyone's having a hard time finding a good place to /heal while reading off directions to your partner, I'd suggest running over to the tele crag and resting at the top of the stairs, since the event seems to take place in areas where there's a tele crag. Oils and powders don't work, and some of the checkpoints are kind of surrounded by mobs, but if you're patient enough to wait for them to move or to find a way around, this event is actually pretty easy.

It's probably safe to say that the stack of 99 Muteppo fireworks the yukata dispenses is standard; I got them and so did my partner. We haven't had the chance to redo the event, yet, though.

The goldfish game seems to work something like this:

You need to buy super scoops and a bowl from the vendor; the super scoops get equipped into your ammo slot, and the bowl into your ranged slot. Then go into the water and /fish.

You can catch three kinds of fish: Tiny Goldfish, worth 1 point, Black Bubble-eyes, worth 2 points, and the rare, hard-to-catch Lionhead which is worth 10 points.

I managed to fish up to 50 points to reclaim "The Mystery Box" but all I got was 10 or 12 Spirit Masques. My boyfriend tried getting the fan prize, and it was just a couple of the regular "festive" fans you can buy. Most of the prizes seem pretty mundane; I'm probably going to try for that "Other Mystery Box" that costs 80 later.

Of course, the event also gives you the chance to catch the (as I understand it) normally rather hard-to-obtain fish that you need to synth those fishbowl furnishings.

lol, it's a lot to put in a guide. With the fishing, the 'other' mystery box reward is a goldfish set, pretty sure it's one every time since I've got two now. It's been mentioned on other threads that the goldfish set can be crafted into two types of aquariums, the first kind containing goldfish, and the second containing a betta. Supposedly the bettas can be fished up in Aht Urgan areas but I haven't been brave enough to try it yet:P
