I went to gusgen mines, I have field boots and gloves but I mined up nothing worthwhile and got mostly pebbles....

Should I spend the money on the field tunica, is it really worth the outlandish 25k people want for it?

my brother has full outfit and gets Dark Steel ore alot....... so you could get it and if u dont like it just try selling it back no use in not trying

If you have 25+, i would recommend getting all the gear that pertains to whatever skill you are working on. In the end it will....you know, even in the middle i guess. It starts paying off pretty quickly =) And like Guppy said, if you don't need it or don't think it's helping (which it does) just sell it back to the AH, you might even rake in a little profit, who knows? =)

it's not worth it imo, what happened is you probably mined on like windsday (you get terrible mines on that day usually your lucky to get an iron, mostly get tin / pebbles) i only use gloves/boots .. i used the tunica too for a while but i needed 20k so i sold it again, and never bothered rebuying it cuz i never really saw a change in my mining.. still got roughly same amount of breaks, and same ores/hr.

i mine on iceday/darksday/lightsday only usually and i can pull out 5-6 darks/golds combined in an hour, more if i'm lucky.. but if i mine on any other days i usually am lucky to get 3 darks/golds/coloured stones combined.. i havn't figured out if moon cycle affects mining or not yet, but from what i've seen those 3 days are best for mining, for me anyways.. for all i know the days may not even affect mining but this is what i've noticed and i've mined quite a lot, and i notice also that most JP players clear out of gusgen on windsday.

I mined on lightsday actually and got nothing, when darksday rolled around I started getting iron.
