I figure I might as well make my contribution to the PUP community, so here it is;
RNG automaton solo
It works largely like valoredge does, let your puppet tank and keep up fire/light maneuvers for voke/regen and toss in occasional earth for Stoneskin. But, when fighting worms, you can work it like a duo.
Required attachments: Strobe Auto-repair kit
Reccomended attachments: Scope, Auto-rep Kit 2, tension springs, Shock absorber
Frame Combination: Sharpshot Head, Sharpshot Body
Throw up a light maneuver, and send it after the worm. If it goes into melee range (does this sometimes on first Deploy) use retrieve and then hit deploy again. Try to Deploy it at the "sweet spot", close enough to get good damage but far enough to have ranged accuracy. Then put up a fire maneuver to get it to voke, and move in to melee. If the monster is not shot/meleed by your automaton before voke, though, hate will be marginal at best so you may desire to wait. The 3rd Maneuver is up to you, though I will wait a bit and use another fire for extra hate (if it vokes before shooting) or another light if it's low on HP, or a wind maneuver for additional Racc if neither.
Becareful not to pull too much hate, and if the puppet gets low (due to a link) throw up stoneskin and let light maneuver heal it up.
If it starts casting stonega run the opposite direction of your puppet, since it has hate it will get hit and you will not.
I'm still fairly low PUP, so I haven't had the chance to test this anywhere but shakrami. but I was able to get chain 4 a few times. Maybe someone of a higher level could test this? That or i'll try it out once I reach qufim.
Either way, it's fairly nice EXP, at least at a lower level. I was consistently able to chain 120-140 EXP mobs for chain 3-4 solo.
It's probably also possible to adapt this to using Valoredge or Harlequin puppet, with you as /war voking it and just running out of spell range, i'm not sure how effective that would be however.
Edit: NEVER use the same maneuver twice in a row, always alternate or you'll get an overload and likely die if the battle just started.
Edit 2: I suppose this doesn't apply after you get the anti-overload AF, but losing the effect of provoke could be deadly. Also a great way to cap automaton RA post-37.
