It is weird not playing the game for this long.  Work has kept me busy as of late.  That, and not having a decent LS to do endgame events in this game is a bit depressing.  I want a good LS that I can trust people in it that can complete events, and mostly interested in Salvage, Sea, and Einherjar only.  Another reason for not being on is that a lot of my friends either barely play; have quit; or don't even bother talking to me unless they need help.  Six years and 23 broken Linkshells kind of tells you what my situation is in this game.  There are very little people you can trust and there are too many incompetent players and leaders in this game.  And, last time I've logged on often, many of my friends don't even bother saying a "Hello" and only talk if they need help.

So, officially, that's my reason for not seeing me on.


Unofficially, I have taken an indefinite break from FFXI for now until my situation in the game changes or I decide get off this server.

I know how it feels with the LS and friend situation, I know like 2-3 people who actually can be described as "friends" but the rest are as you clearly said. I'm actually look for a LS myself at the mo, so many to choose from but so little I would even dare to consider applying to. On the positive side of things, the 2-3 parties I've been in for battles ect have mostly consisted of people from Seraph and I can tell you that Seraph > Bismarck lol. They seem to be alot more light hearted and "chatty" than the average Bis. player, and now I get the odd tell from a few of them to actually have conversations 'bout random stuff.

Welp, it's sad to see 1 of the oldest players I've known come towards this.

PS: If you get supremely bored like I am, read through this entire thread! lol ... It was kinda creepy to notice how much I have changed.
