Updated the mistake with Fowling Earring. I put Hecatomb as 75 cause you'd pretty much have to be 75 to join a HNM LS as a DRG. Unless it's your second job, the chances of getting hecatomb is rather low. Same reason why I didn't list Rajas Ring at lvl 30.

Potent Belt. It offers a small boost to STR while giving almost as big a boost to accuracy as a Life Belt.

Isnt that like saying "its ok to melee in STR gear". I figured the miniscule amount of STR that gives doesnt outwiegh the 3 Acc Loss (majority of an Acc Ring). (O.o);; Never really saw it as a DRG belt , more BLU.

Updated. And the Potent Belt is +3 STR and +8 acc. Not as good as the Wyrm Belt but +3 STR is like having at least +1 atk. So I figured that having a minimum STR boost and +8 acc put it on par with the Life Belt.

I don't know how it's a BLU belt though...I always thought it was a belt that can be used by all DDs. If a BLU needs acc, then a Life Belt would be better then this for them as well wouldn't it?

You must've missed the acc+8 bit on the belt i'm guessing

Nah , I thought it was 7 Acc But meh, STR is soooo neglible... To each his own I guess

But I saw it as a BLU belt because their spells in essense are WS, hence they have modifiers, most being STR. So its nice to have a Acc/STR belt for their spells such as Disenverment(sp) which is 5 hits and Peircing I think.

Well...with a GKL and higher, acc isn't as big of an issue so figured a miniscule boost in damage is better then none:p

A quick question:

Which would you recommend upgrading first: Drachen Mail +1 or Drachen Brais +1?

At first I was going to go with the Brais, but I plan on making my own Conte Cosciales by the time I reach 70 (I like being prepared :x) so I thought I'd skip the Brais unless they were that much better than Cosciales.

The Upgraded body peice is a decent WS item if you dont have the means of obtaining the Hecatomb harness. I cant comment on the pants. I use Barone and dont plan on upgrading AF Pants (SMN AF Ftw )

I think the Brais would be better for the first pick as AJ and Narasimha come pretty close in terms of an ATK boost or STR Boost to the Drachen Mail +1. But I can't think of a pair of pants that boost accuracy for DRGs other then the Drachen Brais +1. Then again I just woke up >.>

What about Wyrm Belt?

Curious~ what you think about those baggy purple pants (Pahluwan Seraweels) for using meat? Acc+4 STR+3 I think. Not as good as Brais+1 but I won't be able to get any +1 AF anytime soon
The Pahluwan Seraweels are from the same assaults as Amir Boots so I'm a bit torn over them since my COR will need those legs a lot more than my DRG needs the boots really ; ;

If you have a shot at Kirin and an HH, as well as solo often I would recomend the pants. If you dont do Kirin often or at all I would recomend the body.

The AF+1 body falls in as the second best str and solo body for drg. Only Heca harrness and Homan body surpass it IMHO. I got mine and then got Heca body 2 weeks later but untill I get Homn body it is my full time solo peice.

Pants would definately be number 2 if not number 1. I have a rivet and 16 coins so far. Hopeing to do tenmos soon for a crack at the cobalt though I dont mind waiting since we are trying to get up an Omega set first ^^

I think the Barone Corazza is second best solo body for DRG next to Homam. The auto-regen goes a long way from what i've noticed. Then again...haven't gotten a chance to test Drachen Mail +1 yet since I don't do limbus.

Thought I added the Wyrm belt in at the lvl 70 bit...i'll check again in a bit. And forgot that the pahluwan set gives accuracy on the pants too...then again it's pretty recent so you'll have to forgive me for forgetting it:p

The def and Vit are great on the +1. For me auto regen is annoying. I usualy play right on the edge when soloing and 1 tick over 50 percent can screw me up. Thats just me though. I would put it up there as well.

Regarding Limbus, if you are cool with the Ogs I can get ya in our shell. We do Limbus 7pm est Wed and 4-6 pm est sundays. Let me know if interested. There is a very small line for Homan ^^ and only you and I for drg lots if you joined. I only need blue cobalt and then im pretty much done with af+1. Plus, its free lot on all materials if you have the job 70+.

On the lances, at 28 there's a little unknown lance called Military spear: http://ffxi.somepage.com/itemdb/5352, its stats are:

Delay: 374
Str+1

Wich imo makes it better than the platoon lance and the halberd, it has lower delay and only -1 dmg difference.

ANY DRG THAT MAKE THERE LS FIGHT THAT NM IS EVIL OR CRAZY; go get Pln. Seraweels; which have 1 more str; 1 less acc but lack the minus stats so acc is about the same; so I urge u dont list this; the NM sucks very badly; plz save your ls the trouble do assault.
