Eh, as much as I'd like to say it was on purpose as something to look out for...Apol must have left some Zelda sounds there while editing before moving them around and forgot to get rid of the unused ones. He'll get a talking to once he's back from Vegas.

The "manthra" joke, though funny and slightly offensive, is an inconsistancy whichever way you look at it. I get the impression you portray the FFXI world as the "real" world, ergo players don't exist and characters are independant (i.e. not controlled). As of such "manthras" do not exist in the FFXI world as they are not recognised by SE, FFXI (and myself).
Further more if that's not the case then you have a bunch of people drooling over a computer generated image of a woman who's player/controller is most likely;
a) not a girl
fat
c) ugly
d) under age
e) combo of the above

Ergo it's just wrong either way you look at it, not to mention the Mithra could be bi or gay

And the mithra joke, in my opinion, is nothing but that - a joke.

The videos don't portray FFXI strictly as the real world, as there are many references that go about "trading items" or opening doors with the keyboard. One would say you don't need a keyboard to open a door in real life~

On the other hand... I don't get the point in the rest of the lines you point out, Sugami. ·_·

I mean, you're admiting that these people are probably not girls, not atractive... yet you say it's "offensive" that we'd portray such a character as a male. It might be me, but I fail to see the logic...

In any case I think that if people are going to start taking these jokes as serious facts... the videos are pretty much doomed since they're all about the sarcasm...

So yeah, try not to pinpoint these small funny facts as intentional offenses or the funny will have to stop! D:

I wasn't really pinning it as being offensive as such but it seemed like an inconsistancy to me. I'm just trying to get a grasp for the "world" and location it's set in.
