Looking at a previous thread I see some people really don't like him, so I'm starting this thread to see what anyone here thinks and why. I watch his show and laugh, even if I'm probably guilty of some of the things he raves about. It's only a matter of time before he gets sued, but for now lets hear your thoughts.

I saw him once in a comedy club, and he was funny. But the DeeDee thing bothered me then, and it still bothers me on his show. So much that I hardly watch his show anymore. He does have some funny and thoughtful things to say, the retard thing is old. I would kill myself if I was a comic and my catch phrase was DeeDeeDee!
He is basically a funnier Mexican version of Yakov Smirnoff.

Carlos Mencia is basically a mexican comic with his own show on Comedy Central as stated above, he takes all the stereotypical notions of the mexican race & other races, and uses those for his skits.
At first he was funny, but now he's really getting old, it's like he's digging for unused material and failing.

i see his show as probably spawned in a board room by suits who wanted to try a mexican chapelle show and just found a comedian who fit the bill. he is a hack of the highest order.

Once Dave Chappelle left, they needed someone else that wasn't afraid to throw out racial slurs all over the place and make fun of people's race.
I saw his stand-up before he did his show and it was very funny, but the show just doesn't make me laugh like Chappelle did.

Oh, but Dave Chapelle does it so much better.
Carlos Mencia is not funny. He's been using old played out jokes about races from the 90s. "DeeDeeDee"? Is that his catchphrase? At least Dave Chapelle had a decent catchphrase. "(Inset something here), Bitch!"

Like stated above, he's just some beaner who gets up on stage and calls himself a beaner for an hour and people laugh at it.
It's actually a pretty bland attempt at shock humor, but isn't really all that terribly shocking. Shock has to be original, and Chapelle already plowed through everything he's ever done on a much larger scale. Most of the stuff he rants about is either retarded, already done by someone else, or just plain ignorant.
I don't imagine the show will last another year.

YOU FUCKER! I was gonna make a thread flaming Mencia, and now you ruined it. The OP didnt even give any good fucking reasons to hate him, it was just "Making a list, who hates him who doesnt." This is just gonna end up like that "Showers or Baths" thread and just get moved to Misc. for being so lame.
