Ok now this story is too funny to not share with you all...

So a couple guys from my LS talk me into leveling with them because they need a tank. Being a PLD, pretty high demand at level 59. So we decide to head to Al Zhabi and make a party there. I make one and the setup is as follows..

DRK
NIN
SMN

PUP
RDM

Now we all range from 58-60. We figure we will go to Wajaom Woodlands and chain Spiders. We are doing this and a couple people are not liking the exp. So we go to where our rdm suggested, Aydewee Subterrane. Now I know nothing about these areas but hey, only one way to learn right? So the RDM talks us into it and we all go to Al Zhabi and grab birds. The RDM is taking FOREVER to get her butt in gear but we wait patiently. She finally gets back out to us and we let her go find a camp. We figure since she suggested this, she knows where to go. Everything is fine, we get there in one piece with some sneak. First fight comes along. Now me at the time as 58 PLD am tanking this crawler thinking wtf is this crap. This thing is whooping my butt. I felt like I was level 10 in the dunes fighting a Gob Tinkerer again. For some reason out of nowhere the DRK got hate and he was doing next to no dmg on purpose just not to chance him getting hate. But I will figure that out another time. Anyway, the DRK dies. I of course am mystified (and ticked) because I had solid hate the whole fight...seriously...wtf...he didnt do anything.

Ok so the Red Mage proceeds to tell us after this fact "Oh yeah the party I came here with was all level 60." Yeah, thanks hun, glad you tell us this NOW. But we digressed, kept our mouths shut and decided to keep trying. Thinking maybe we got the strongest one of the bunch.

Drk heals up and we pull. This time it is very ugly. Not because the Crawler is too hard, oh no, all the red mage is doing is refreshing herself and randomly hasting others. She isn't helping heal, she isn't dispelling Cocoon. Myself, the drk, the smn and the nin die. But the NIN died because he 2 houred.

So here we are laying here very much dead. We are waiting for the red mage with full hp and mp to raise us and nothing. We are thinking she went afk without saying anything. Ok that happens we can chill for a few. wow 10 minutes still nothing. OMG ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? The broad is still refreshing herself now and hasting the pup. Of course our drk who is damn rough around the edges is cursing this chick out left and right (it was hillarious to watch)

So the SMN decides he will home point and come back to raise. Well he gets back and gets stuck in a Besieged. Ok seriously, wtf did we do to deserve this? But yet again, we wait...not patiently this time but we wait. He finally gets to us and we have 2 minutes left (phew). Meanwhile this jacked broad is STILL refreshing herself and hasting. Ok so we figure out we have a bot on our hands. I report her *evil grin*. Meanwhile we are sitting here waiting with her still in party, to see what happens.

GM calls me back and I tell him what is happening. 20 minutes later the chick dissapears and she is in POL jail. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA DUMBASS!!! This made it all worth it trust me.

So I ask, wtf is going on with FFXI these days? Do you 3rd party tool using bots honestly think we are too stupid to figure you out? I mean COME ON!

So to all you out there who get a little iffy about a party member only doing one or two things when they should be doing many, report their ass and rid us of the scum. Have a nice day!

a RDM bot? that's kinda funny o.o pretty sure i've seen it before in a GSer party, had a PL who only spammed hasted on every single one of the little melee tarus in quifim and followed them, while another just did cures in succession between them all, with perfect timing and patterns.

it was fun to watch the tarus decimate half of quifim.

I still think the bg forum topic about the person getting their account hacked and getting their pup delevled from 75 to 57 is the best pup story ever. Back to the topic at hand, with those el-window, program-whatnots you kids use b/c you're too lazy to pay attention but still feel like you should have the world handed to you, it's pretty easy to encode a cycle or pattern of stuff, like a rdm refresh/haste cycle. Kind of sad that it's gotten to the point where the support can pull this stunt.

Then again, I could see the support becoming very angry seeing the melee afk go make a sammich action, so it kind of makes sense that we've evolved to this point. I think that is one of the best things about being the tank. I for one intentionally move the mob periodically to make sure the gang's all here. This is almost as good as being the blm and having the ability to D2 anyone that pisses you off. And we all know the blm is the king of afk lazyness hands down...

Well aside from the drk, drg, and pup that have been LFP for the last 10hours today....
