Ive decided to NOT do any crafting anymore--- its useless.... i mean first of all in alchemy potions are like lvl36-40 which in my opinion is high, and you dont make any profit off those!! but what made me decide to call it quites is the fact that you still dont make any profit from Hi-potions!! WTF is that about!! the only possible way you could make profits is if you farmed all the ingrediants which to me is not worth the time and effort when you could just go fights some nms or bcnms (but bcnms you gotta now what you are doing XD)

so in short... SCREW CRAFTING

oh ya for sngs here are the amounts you would lose out by making/selling potions and hi-potions on my server

POTION:
cost to make 12: 4400 cost to sell those 12: 3600g Loss: 800g

Hi-potion:
cost to make 12: 13.4k g cost to sell those 12: 12k g Loss: 1.4k g

i dont know if it counts as a craft but: FISH all the good money is in fishing. just make the investment in the gear (the blue stuff) and simple rods to start you out, and maybe get someone to teach you how to get good, i had some help and now im not poor anymore . i tried crafting too, i heard that blacksmithing was good money at higher levels but so far its only been a drain on my gil too.

fishing, smithing, cooking and woodworking are all great ways to make money.

picking alchemey to start your career w/ is probably not the best idea, most of the low lvl stuff sells v badly if at all.

Well i just started out on alchemy so the best thing i was making at 1-6 to boost my skill was tsuaras. On my server they sell for about 1000g for a stack of 99. You could buy a stack of rock salt for 500 plus distilled waters are only 12g each. The ice crystals arent to bad either so you only lose 100-200g if anything. Sometimes you do a good craft and make double of whatcha normally make. I have seen some jp players synthesize 4 potions at once...so i think thats how you make the money. I dunno i think alchemy will b big eventually. Currently working on making some echo drops. Noticed not to many NA players carry potions and medicines with them though.

Garden. It's passive money make'ing at it's best. You don't do anything except feed the seeds. If you do it right big pay off. If not, you still have soemthing to show for the time (2 seconds) you put in...

All crafts have the potential to make money. If you're too lazy to figure out what's the money maker or to farm for your own things, then maybe the NM or BCNM is the way for you. As for me, I prefer NOT to pay 1-2 mil + for my JSE equipment.
