Falconblade :
Especially on Jailer of Fortitude, where he'll run past you before you can get a breath off most of the time.
Sho :
Not just "ok"... Fast Cast Breath Spells is made of win.
Maybe blu/rdm would be okay too.

Maybe for you, I usually get ran over due the the 500-700 Breath spells I get off on him.

It lasts a couple of hits on easy prey mobs, however.

Diamondhide will though

still a lifesaver for you AND the PT if you're in 1. Just use it when necessary don't whore it out in XP PT's.

actually my Metallic Body seems to last about 3 hits on DC Colibris and other mobs... on a EM+ you prob won't be able to cast ichi, but it still ~helps~ with recasting shadows >.>

Metallic Body is sorta useful at solo'in lower levels. Later levels don't count on it too much, held back 1 possibly 2 hits from VT Imps at 63 but 1 critical got through a newly casted MB.
P.S. This thread needs stickied.

I was hoping for more of a subjob outline. Don't get me wrong, the guide is great but I know the triats and spells that are offered through experience.
The reason I was hoping for more of a suggested outline, is because I'm not to sure what to sub. I'm currently a level 27 BLU and I'm lucky enough to have a 70 RDM on another account. SVIDEO to my TV and dual box PL for the win. Skipping the Dunes, Qufim, and Yuhtunga is so nice on the stress levels. However, I'm getting to the point where chain4 is becoming a little difficult without a PT and getting ready to deal with the increased stress of low level parties.
Currently, I'm subbing NIN to save a few cures from my RDM. It's worked well so far and I have a Sarashi waiting at level 30 that I used on other jobs. So my question is, what would be reccomended for party use at level 30, from your experiences ... /nin with Sarashi, /thf with Sneak Attack (and what spell should be sneaked, if so? I have all spells up to Bomb Toss [yes I realize Bomb Toss can't be sneaked:p, just for reference] @28 ), or /war for Berserk? I'm a monk at heart, and love doing damage and DoT so by nature I might be overlooking mage subs.. perhaps one of those at 30?
I have /NIN WAR THF BLM WHM RDM (even SAM and DRG) leveled and able to be used.
Thanks for any help and suggestions you have to offer.

I'm sure it's been said quite a few times, but I think it's generally accepted that blu/thf is the best party job (unless you're going as a healer) once you get Sneak Attack at level 30. You'd only consider going back to blu/nin once you start getting into more burn-like parties as you near 75.

Which spell at level 30 best stacks with Sneak Attack? I know Head Butt is useful in later levels, is that the spell of choice until the heavy hitters in the mid levels like Death Scissors?

SA Screwdriver
SA Bludgeon
Are both ok, nothing amazing though.

The damage of the sneak attack + blue spell itself is not great at 30, this is true...
At that level your damage will come from the weaponskill + CA physical blue spell + skillchain + magic burst which altogether can amount to better damage than most are capable of.
But what Sneak Attack does is guarantee that your physical blue spell hits (you would CASA instead of just CA). With it your self-skillchain and magic burst isn't ruined by an ill-timed resist. That's the advantage, in my warped opinion.

I was under the assumption that CA wasn't untill 40. If I can CASA at 30, then that answers my own question I suppose, lol. I'll have to check CA level again. Thanks for the tip.
