[red]****************Being updated constantly*****************[/red]

The Harvest Festival has revisted Vana'diel once again, with even more items to find! As usual, methods of obtaining the older items will be implemented, similar to last year's festival. This guide will be updated throughout the event with all of the latest and confirmed ways to obtain the goodies, so look forward to it!
The guide in its entirety will be located on this first post of this thread, so for easy access, you can just click here and refresh to see the latest information!

[yellow]=[/yellow][orange]=[/orange][black]Overview[/black][orange]=[/orange][yellow]=[/yellow]
Starting from October 19th to November 1st, the cities of Vana'diel will be celebrating the annual Harvest Festival! From monsters roaming about the cities, to special prizes, be sure to enjoy it throughly!

This year, the festivities that will be constantly going on will be as follows:
"The Dark Lilies" - Assist the exorcists with their ghostly problem (Event for the Witch hat)
"Trick or Treating with Beastmen" - Find and trade the wandering beastmen candy and get something spooky in return (Event for the Pumpkin Heads and Staves)
"Floating Bombs" - Watch them work their magic when the right combination is presented (Event for the Pitchfork)
"Merchant Stands" - Buy festive merchandise from special event Moogles

You can find each of these events in the following locations:
Southern and Northern San d'Oria
Bastok Mines and Markets
Windurst Waters and Woods

[yellow]=[/yellow][orange]=[/orange][black]The Dark Lilies[/black][orange]=[/orange][yellow]=[/yellow]
Talk to one of the following exorcist npcs to activate the event. Once you zone out, even to the Mog House, the event becomes disabled so you have to talk to the exorcist again. Once you activate the event, obtain a costume. Costumes can be obtained by trading one of the costumed npcs around the area a treat. (Lower in the guide is a list of which npcs give which costumes.) Once you have a costume on, find the ghost in question. The target ghost should be walking around the same zone, in some kind of pattern. If you are close to the ghost, with the event activated, and a costume on, you will hear the ghost start to talk (No need to click it). Follow it around, until you have the full story. Careful though, the ghosts stop and like to turn while they are talking, and if you are seen, your costume will be removed. Once you have heard the whole story, the ghost will tell you so, and then you can return to the Exorcist to get your Witch hat.
After waiting for the next Vana'diel day, you can get the quest again from the same exorcist, to look for a different ghost. After you find that second ghost in the city and do the following process again, you will obtain the Coven hat. Watch out though, the second ghost turns more often and randomly!
Helping the exorcist out after you obtain both hats will net you some shiny fireworks.

[yellow]=[/yellow][orange]=[/orange][black]Trick or Treating with Beastmen[/black][orange]=[/orange][yellow]=[/yellow]
NPCs around the city have dressed up like beastmen and other spooky monsters. By trading them any item that can be found in the "Sweets" section of the Auction house, you will randomly get a reward. (Not all sweets work anymore, like fruits, but other traditional sweets do.) You just need to trade one treat at a time to get all the items, it just might take some time to obtain all of them. You can only get one costume or item per type of sweet per Vana'diel day, so make sure you have alot of different kinds of cheap cookies and pies on you!

There are giant floating bomb balloon decorations around the cities. Get into a party of only 2 people, have the right costume combinations on, then go under the right balloon for your shiny new Pitchfork.
To get the Pitchfork+1, you need to go to a nation's city where you didn't get the NQ Pitchfork. There, go to a npc that gives you your nation's main beastmen enemy costume and trade it sweets to obtain the Goblin costume, with your Pitchfork NQ equipped. After you and your partner both have the Goblin costume, proceed to the balloon in the area for your Pitchfork+1.

Btw, did you forget the original Halloween event held 4 items? The original hats and staves, then the next year, they added 4 more, and then last year was pitchfork, so it is quite possible they might give out 5 items ^^; only one more then 1, plus, they pissed a lot of people off with yellow chocos, might be their way of saying sorry =P

All you need to do is trade candy to one of the npc walking around and follow the ghost npc around to learn their death story. The npc cant see you so stay behind them and when they stop they turn around in cirlcles so you need to stay behind them. After you get the whole story they will pretty much tell you. After that return to the quest npc for your reward
