KI3 and the subsequent removal of Flamewars has been carefully planned out for many months now. Only parts of KI3 are being implemented at this current moment, as it is a ongoing process of upgrading the forum system, server and user side.
While suggestions for "fixing" flamewars are appreciated, some proposed changes have already been thought of and looked at. Some solutions users bring up are just impossible to do on the LDU system that Killing Ifrit runs on at the moment.

In a nutshell, your civil and well thought out suggestions are appreciated. While full details of changes and future changes aren't disclosed to the public, we have already planned for steps that have been and will be taken carefully.

Falcons brings up a good point. Mods can be ruthless and will ban anyone to serve as a message. True, Users do make KI possible, but a very few people actually post and troll in this section. Banning 30 people (Random number) would be a mere drop in the bucket compared to the overall userbase. All of us old FW posters can easily rattle of the names of 30-40 people without blinking of people that have been banned over the years, so I know its not just an empty threat. Remember kids, if Tonka can get bammed ANYONE can get bammed.

If the Mods wanted to be Proactive, they wouldn't delete an entire board that doesn't even add to post counts.
There's no other reason for them wanting FW gone besides them wanting FW gone.

We have that forum. It's here: http://ffxi.killvoid.com/forums.php?m=topics&s=8. People simply refuse to post in there because it's "cool" to post here. This forum gets more traffic. Which, of course, might be the mods plan - Get rid of this forum until all the spammers get settled into another. Then bring it back.
