In case you were wondering.....

Cows, like humans, can run at various speeds; meaning some are faster than others. Though I have never clocked one of our cows (we raise beef cattle, not dairy) I would guess they could run up to 15 or 20 mph, though they wouldn't run that fast for very long. They generally run fast enough to get away from something then either stop or just walk. The skinnier and younger they are the faster they can run, too. If I were a cow, I would be very slow!
