FFXI sucks because there is too much down time. LFP and camping NM/HNM are the things that suck most about ffxi, and if that doesn't spell "boring", then you can craft...again, not my idea of fun. Spending several hours in sky, running from camp to camp was fun for about 2 weeks. I still have good days, but I can't even count the times where I've caught myself thinking "This is fucking bullshit, why am I still playing this crap?". And this is where this game starts to feel like a part time job.

Thank God a good game is coming out soon. PSU promises a much more casual atmosphere, soloable content (no matter which job you are!), amazing character customization, and something brand new. Anybody still play ffxi that has been since beta? I can only imagine when everything was fresh, and everybody was busy figuring things out and having fun.

Peace the fuck out FFXI, you're getting put on the back burner!
