First off, i'm in a relatively rare situation (or atleast I think I am).
I am a returning FFXI player and am trying to pay my overdue fees from April. During
the course of those 6 months, the credit card I was using expired. Thus, I used another
Card when re-entering my information today. However, After selecting "Pay" I get an Error.
UCS-60257 "The server is busy or you have entered incorrect information"
I'm relatively sure I entered the correct information, so I assumed it must be the busy server.
After reading a bit off Playonline.com, it said that if your card expires, you can enter a new form
of payment through the Playonline viewer. However, being that I had a late fee, I'm not able to
access the POL viewer until paid. A vicious cycle, indeed.
This brings me to a few questions:
-Is it just the busy server that's crippling my payment?
-Will I have to Contact POL in order to change my payment method?
I greatly appreciate any constructive response!

I am having this exact same issue. I actually got excited that someone posted about this but then I was saddened when i saw this post has no replies. Please if anyone has the answer to this, speak up, help us out! I havent been able to log into Final Fantasy for 4 days now because of this issue. I did the live chat thing with some POL guy that couldnt really help me, he just told me to make sure im waiting 30 minutes between each attempt.. which hasnt helped. He also told me to make sure the time on my computer was right, which it is because it updates automatically with some global time server. I've even rebooted my computer.. nothing. Please anyone has any info on this post here!!

I just always retry by going back and register again... After a few attempts, it gives me a different message saying the info was wrong (I know the reason why my card won't work, this is just a test) and not a word about server being busy.

Yeah i got some other message too, saying that the server was busy but nothing about my card being invalid, i got that a bunch of times... still.. no FF for me.
I have probably tried to re-register about 80 times now.. and it won't let me.

I was hoping it would be working by now. Blah, no FFXI this weekend for me I guess. If you do get
access to POL, please report it here please for my own personal references. I'm getting tired of re-entering my information over and over only to find out that i'm still unable to login. /cry

Were any of you able to figure out the problem with this? I've got this error now too. My mom's debit card didn't have enough money in it for last month so it canceled me. That's not the problem, when I try to pay my old fees it says UCS-60257 error, invalid information or server busy. Anybody got some idea about this?

Whent out today, bought the Vana'diel collection 2007, do my jazz, go to do my credit card thingy, and nothing, i get that samn USC-60257 error, and now i just got the USC 5110 error, new one for me!
did anyone ever reslove this?
i heard that perhaps my old account is still attached to my CC in there systems, and something of taht nature? think it might be BS, that WAS like almost 2 years ago.. i mean my accounts gone, why would my CC still be there?

OK, I played FFXI for years back in the day, stopped playing February 2007, wanted to play again so I tried to reactivate. I have been trying ATM card, Credit Card, I made sure I signed up for Verified Visa, card was good, called the CC company, saw a $1 pending charge. I waited 15 mins to resubmit my info like the SHITTY SE support told me and nothing, I even waited 24 hours like some people have said they had luck with and NOTHING.
'
So I got a hair up my ass and did the following, just to try. I unplugged my PC from the router and direct connected it to the Cable Modem, then i turned opff Windows Firewall, and shut down my AVG Antivirus. Figured what the hell.... First time I tried to register my CC info it went right through....
So if your getting the UCS-60257 error a few times, then the error saying you are not able to use your card, at least try this first before you pull your hair out like I did. Might not work but hey it worked for me and I'm so releived now.
Your welcome for the post.

Anyways, I'm gonna try this, and see if it works. Let ya know what happens.
Nope, didn't work for me. This is really starting to piss me off. I wanted to come back and play, but now it looks like that won't be likely... Guess I'll try again in a week...

Not going to look for it, but i remember them saying they were changing some sorta requirement for credit card info, like u had to sign up for something (with ur CC) before it could be used with FF from now on (ur last CC will still work if u were still playing, but if u stop start new etc, u had to sign up for some feature)

Day 3 and still having the same issue. I've contacted SE so many times and they just keep saying that its just cause of server congestion. But seriously 3 days straight, 8AM-9PM EST, I've tried more than 100 times already. It just cant be that.
