Well, I heard a few things about crafting after lv 60, and wanted to know just what the deal is...
I heard that you have 40 levels after one skill reaches 60 to distribute among lv 60+ skills (ie, you could have two lv 80 skills, but not two lv 100)
Now this bugs me because I like fishing and I like clothcraft very much, and if I have to make a choice between the two... @@

What I heard is that if you have 2 skills over 60, the highest you can reach for any skill is 99. I don't know if it's a big thing or not though...

the Skill cap info, rumor?
all can be to 60
---at 60-100 40 points can be spent
one can be to 100
two can be to 80
four can be to 70
if u were to raise cooking to 100
and then alcemy to 61
cooking would then be 99
---not sure if this would make yr title change as well, a delevel?
this includes fishing.
this is what i have found on other forums, one poster mentioned an update info page in japenese, i have searched and not found that, and sent a support request to SE, which didnt get anywhere.

Myrna, I have heard the same thing from a whole bunch of people. I'm not that high yet to know for sure though. ><

Heard this rumor before, not sure if it's completely true, but... as sad as it may seem, that'd actually be the only fair way to balance it.

As much as I want all my crafting skills at 100, I'll have to agree that it's a nice way to balance things a bit. This'll prevent you from being able to make everything so that you MUST rely on someone else or level the other craft on a mule to make stuff you need.

Is it? It'll stop people from being able to make everything. Therefore even if one person masters a craft, he'll still have to buy something from another crafter. And in that case, both people get something they want. But if everyone had 100 in all crafts, who are you going to sell the stuff you craft to? If this happens, the AH will be empty and all the monsters that drop materials will be camped out like crazy. Meaning an economy will cease to exist. And without an economy there to make the value of certain items rise and fall, it'll be less fun to play or even craft. But then again, this is just an opinion.

Yea, maybe if ALL people got their skills to 100, but that will never happen. If you put in the work (and money) in, you should be able to get all your crafts to 100. Especially since you cannot "forgot" a skill if you want to do a different one. I am currently lvl 46 wood, 18 fishing, and 7 goldsmithing so I'm not speaking from total ignorance.

Yes, I agree that being able to get all crafts to 100 would be nice. But that would be like saying you have god-like memory. I mean...how the heck are you supposed to memorize how to make 1000s of things and still have room for common sense and such? I find that a feat in itself. But either way, if that was actually allowed, i'm pretty sure that MORE then one person would do that. And i'm sure they have friends who can find materials and this way, everyone avoids the AH since there's someone there making everything they need for them already. I only see it as chaos if all skills were able to reach 100 (unless the skill max became 200 or something).
