Could someone please give me some advice on hunting Lizzy.
I have Ranger Subbed but, well anyway can someone lend me a hand?
/tell Varant if ur on Pandemonium and can possibly help. Need Bounding Boots for NIN and DRG.

Leaping lizzy will pop as the fifth (bottom) lizard in either of the two groups of five lizards that spawn in the area, and the repop time is 5 minutes. So if noone else is killing lizards, (or if you can spot the bottom lizards for long enough) you can find the place holders and only kill those two, and time it. TBH I wouldn't bother camping the boots unless you want them for THF, as the drop rate isn't that great (I was 1/13 with treasure hunter 1), and 3 dex 3 agi isn't very amazing for most jobs. By the time you get the drop, you could have probably leveled those jobs to the point that there are better equips anyway.

EDIT: Oh, and LL's minimum respawn time seems to be about 40 minutes, but I've seen it take quite a few hours. About an hour and 15 minutes average repop.

Not sure exacly what advice you need.. =
Theres always a few people camping him, best thing to do would just go as ???/RNG and wait every.. Two-three hours I think, can't remember it that well, but he spawns randomly around the F-8 area I believe.. He's weak aginst wind, and ice. Just wide scan around his spawn time period. Me personaly I didn't have /RNG when I hunted him, but alot of people called me lucky, I was able to grab him two times in a row, about a 3 hour difference in time. I got the boots on both kills. First one I lost the lot to my THF friend, second tme I was on my own and saw him spawn, and just took him. It was a pretty easy NM for me, but theres ALOT of people who had mass troubble with him, or so I hear. They can give you a little better advice then what I've just given you.. ^^;

Got mine on second kill when I returned to the game and they were Rare/EX then.
Got some before I left, too. Pretty much what the second guy said, but wow I never knew it was the 5th lizard :dozingoff

When me and two of my ls members hunted it (claimed 5 times in one night easily) I went as pld/rng for flash voke and widescan.

There are 3 groups of lizards, but the ones that are the western most group (bottom of the hill) never seemed to have the ph. Just kill the 5th of each group and have a watch or clock nearby. At the 14 minute mark, start spamming widescan. Be fast with looking in your list, and be quick. soon as you see the name track it and run like hell to it. We went 0/5 that night...no TH at all.

My friend was once running to Dangruf and say it sitting there. He stunned (lvl 75blm) and sure enough, he went 1/1 on it....some people have all the luck.

Since you're also BLU i'll pose this question: I'm BLU43 and I still use them, and other BLUs I've seen in my range still use them. For when I'm doing lolrdmmelee I still use them at 75(No dusk o noes!). So when exactly will I get better BLU feet? AF? As far as I'm concerned, Bounding Boots & Empress Hairpin are the best rare/ex drops anyone can get.

Kay, I'm going to speak from personal experience on this NM, and I've camped it too many damn times.

Currently 0/34 with either TH1 or TH2, never without any TH.

Minimum respawn time is 10 minutes on the DOT. I've forced her respawn twice in one hour because of that. If she doesn't repop 10 minutes after dying, then she won't spawn again till a minimum of 1hr later. Just kill every liz within the pop area.

The rest of the information is currently correct that I've seen, it is the 5th liz in each group, but there's so many people there that I just kill every liz in the pop zone hoping for the faster respawn.

One other trick I've noticed with this, go for a lower job to camp with. I usually went as thf/rng, but could never get boots. I'd always 1-shot liz with a bolt if it criticalled, or with one dagger swing if I claimed with steal. Levelled THF up quite a bit though, and I've heard from SO many friends that go with lower jobs and have to actually fight to kill her, that the drop rate is much better. Give that a shot as well, and good luck on her.

By the way, my drop rate isn't horrible because I don't claim her, people get mad at me when I'm there because I get them ALL. One day I camped for 8 hours and claimed 11/12 pops, I just had to go AFK for one to yanno.. visit that thing we call life X.x;

there's a couple of things about LL:

1) His PH is the 5th bottom Lizard on the lizard group that is between the Walking Samplings and Vultures
2) Repop time of the Lizards is 5:00-5:30 minutes real life or 2:00-2:15 hour game time, u decided which is easier for you.
3) Not true that if LL doesn't spawn in 10 minutes it will pop after an hour since i've popped him myself at 15, 35 and 45 minutes, it is said that sometimes it can pop even 5 minutes after dead, which happened to some LS mates once.

Just time PH dead, Spam Widescan when it's time, Track and Run as fast as you can.

Went 1/11 as 75RDM/20BST...lol

Lol, yeah same here. Not sure if the ':rare:ex' update caused them to change on the drop rate in any way, but when I got LL 2/2 it was when they were Rare-ex. My ls thought I was fucking crazy, untill they examined me, guess it was a 'big deal' for them.

i used thf/rng and went 1/31, get the combination of widescan/spot it/flee/ranged attack (use darts) down and it's not too hard to claim, but the drop rate was horrendous for me. good luck!

I wasn't trying to start anything, I was pointing out that he couldn't have had voke as pld/rng. Also, pretty much everyone knows flash is almost instant, and I don't see why he would add "voke" in there if it's really the way you meant it, as in flash is like his voke...

Well thank you Captain Obvious for pointing out that he didn't have voke as pld/rng. I think more than just that person has called it a "flash voke" before, so they assumed you knew what he/she meant. Regardless, we all knew they didn't have voke. Was fairly self-explanitory. I'm 1/20 on Lizzy (no TH), better than some other people I know =/ One friend of mine is like 0/60 now (*WITH* TH), I feel bad for them >__<
