RO is great if you want no or a very poor story. If you want to have a game that's just fun to play with others and you enjoy the anime-ish graphics then RO is good. It also had two types of servers: high rate and low rate. High rate are more for testing out different builds or for PvP purposes only. Low rate are the main servers.

WoW seems to have a story-line wich makes it better in that sense. It has a multitude of races and jobs while RO has mainly jobs depending on the server (free servers) that you play on. It also has more advanced graphics.

As for which is better it really depends on your opinion. Neither is better than the other. I like both. o.o

I enjoy RO more.. Idk I love the graphics for the game; the game itself is really simple. End Game on RO is fun; trying to take over castles with your guild and all that, and different strategies for castle sieges become important. I.E. Get Hunters to Detect for invisible Assassins/Rogues.. Wizards try freezing enemies if your trying to escape or defend castle...

WoW is also fun to start playing if you have a group of friends.. questing around and killing mobs. RO quests are meh... with nothing but "Get me x amount of this item and I'll give you a reward!". WoW end game is fun, with raids and all that, and new expansion coming out is sure to be fun.. but again, some may get tired of it and fast.. since its basically the same thing everytime.

RO is a terrible game, by far the worst MMO I've ever played. There's little to no character customization (you only get to edit hair color, style, and headgear, your armor is the same as everyone else), the levelling is even lamer than XI, and storyline is nonexistant. The plus side is the cute anime graphics.

WoW, on the other hand, is great fun. I like it more than XI. They're always adding new content and they listen to players.

If you play the official RO, then you'll never have to worry about getting ganked in disputed territory cause THERE'S NO WORLDWIDE PVP! Yes, I'm well aware of WoW's RP servers but when the developer has to add servers to make the game accessible to those that can't stand PvP, there's something wrong. Oh, this isn't to say RO looks better, it doesn't. Also, there's no story cause it wasn't made as a stand alone game, shame America'l never see the preceding game though we did get the manwa released over here. Those have the 'missing' story. Though, really, if all you want is a fun game you're going to be glossing over the story anyway so why worry. Personally, I think RO mops the floor with WoW but that's just me.

I play FFXI and WoW. FFXI is my home and WoW is my vacation let me put it that way. (Go on vacation.. come back home.. Can you say addicted o.O?) All and all WoW is quite easier compared to FFXI and if you are bored try WoW. 90 million subscribers has to say something... Dont want to level grind? Turn in quests and you'll earn exp. (At low levels it pays off to turn in multiple quests at one time.) Basically any quest you do rewards some exp. Crafting is a little more rewarding in WoW in that you can make items (provided you have materials) that can sharpen your sword or toughen your armor and things like that. Dungeons are instanced so you/your party gets their own private instance (or copy if you will) of it. This means you can get some of the good stuff that will be exclusive to your character (Good stat boosts and stuff like that). Events are awesome in WoW imho. They are always doing something cool with the stuff. This christmas event I got to "open presents" under a tree. They really know how to decorate in WoW. Christmas had some cool multicolored lights hung up over the buildings. Halloween has some really cool pumpkins and you can bob for apples. Its hard for me to judge RO from a private server I played but overall I like WoW's interface better. Cant beat the price point on the software right now in the store. $20 to start.

Have you even played WoW? PvE servers are for people that don't want world PvP, PvP are for those that do, and then you have RP and RPPvP for those that want to role play. How is there something wrong with having different kinds of servers? I think it'd be wrong if they didn't have multiple servers for different types of players, forcing people that want to don't want to pvp to deal with it or visa versa.
