This can not be anymore accurate... Not to mention asking opinions about other games on this forum draws out tons of people who think they are on the FFXI payroll and must bash everything not FFXI...
Most games have some sort of free trial or beta or some way to try the game for free/cheap... Try as maney as possible and pick which one you think has the most to offer...

Then that must mean I'm on Gravity's payroll cause I would push RO over WoW (and FFXI) any day.

Ragnarok Online. Spent many good months playing that wonderful game before I finally made the switch to FFXI, and I even quit FFXI for about a month to go back to RO. xD

I loved painting and collecting Warhammer, but i never played it, and I don't really care about the MMORPG, I'm getting leary of all of these MMOs being released, alot of them are just plain trash.
Games I'm looking forward to:
Lord of the Rings Online, ( Should have kept the name Middle-Earth Online but eh)
Although it's made by Turbine (Still grossed out by how they fucked up Dungeons and Dragons online) I'll give it a try.
Vanguard Saga of Heros. gives off a Everquest II feel, but looks amazing. Freedom yes please.
also the furry inside of me will not pass up this MMORPG simply because of the Vulmane and Raki races, "Wolf and Fox people!"
How can you say no to Wolf people???

I thought DDO was Codemasters, the same people that did RFO. I haven't heard great things abou LotRO or Vanguard though. =/

I've been thinking of starting to play WoW, but am still unsure if I should start playing a second online RPG, since I still play FFXI a lot. What is it about WoW that makes it so popular to have 8 million subscribers? Is it a easy game to play or does it have features that other online RPG's don't have?

Unfortionetly right now it looks like Vanguard is going to tank on release, which is sad considering I liked the idea of it.
To Sollex, send me a message on everything you are curious about and I will give you the reason why it (in WoW) is superior/inferior to other games, what WoW has that other games don't, etc etc. Just send me a PM sometime =) I check back daily.

Can't say I'll miss Vanguard. Now Project Wiki... that I'll miss if Nintendo screws it over.
