If you are arguing that ff isn't dieing then your stupid I am sorry. Square is developing a new Final Fantasy MMORPG, and other new ones are coming out. The new game a lot of buddies of mine and I are going to play is vanguard. It has 15 races and 17 jobs. It sounds like the next gen mmorpg. You and your guild can have land property rights, and cities can be built instead of made. You can make ships with a combination of different people crafting. What makes it even sweeter, is you start on a horse around level ten, in later levels you can ride flying creatures. If this is a game many of you are thinking of playing let me know, unless you have hard of a better MMO coming out
FFXI is dieing, what do you think of this new game?

wow even putting a serious topic up on KI isn't worth it anymore, you can never get a serious response

If you want a serious response, It's that FF isn't dying any time soon, and most people here probably know that and are SO tired of these threads.

How can you have any legitimate argument toFFXI not dying if they are working on a new one? You think they will keep updating FFXI when there is a new one out?

Look at other MMO's and you tell me the answer, Not to mention the fact no one would even truly know till it does come out, if and when that happens.

As new MMO's come out more and more people are going to leave FFXI, would you play is there was 100 people on the server? And why wouldn't you want to play a more fun superior game. Admit it, how fun would it be in FF if your ls had a castle that you could build and expand as you grow?

More fun and superior? How much fun you have is your own opinion. Look at all the older MMOs like Everquest. People still play those and how old are they now?

If your friend was spending 12 horus a day playing mario 1, and they didn't know there were more fun games out, wouldn't you try to convince them?

More to the point:
Who gives a damn either way. And yes, I did not put that in question form, that is a fucking statement. Game still has at least a year left, there's still plenty of dedicated players.

Not if he enjoys it that much. Not to mention it -is- Mario :love Another thing is, Alot of people have put so much work into their chars that theyre not going to just up and quit for another MMO. Most anyway.

I'd have to agree that I see people leaving but I see people joining as well. FFXI will not be completely dead until the last player who isn't a gil seller leaves. What is likely to be true is that if people continue to play and put money into an MMO they will most likely update it regardless of how small and infrequent those updates are. I doubt they'd drop everything.
If they do stop updates it wouldn't be all at once but more likely over a period of time. We have yet to see what happens so there's no point in worrying about it just yet as it hasn't even come out yet. When the masses begin quitting and SE announces that updates are canceled indefinately then I will worry and think of playing this new one. Until then I've worked too hard on my character(s) to up and quit.

Its because people don't want to feel like they wasted 2 years of their life into a video game and think they have respect in FF and don't want to have to work for that again. Which I can see, but what I am trying to say is eventually you are going to have to quit, the earlier now that the game is dieng the better

Why quit earlier? I'd rather get what I pay for. If that means playing until the end then so be it.
