we did this 5 or 6 times. and the tree just kept respawning.


instead of cheering the moogle, cheer on the tree. He ends up walking towards the town center, and returning the presents.
don't let the moogle kill him.

Has anyone actually managed to kill a tree. i'm curious if you actually get a new piece of event gear for dispossing of the tree. so far all you get is new furniture and the old dreamrobes...

Unicorn hasn't been able to kill the tree, got it down to about 47% then it despawned...This is kinda lame if thats all there is

How to get a dream robe:
Cheer the Treant on when it spawns, not the moogle. Eventually, it gets to the center of the area, and despawns. After that talk to the NPC in the santa outfit near where the tree despawned quickly, and he/she will tell you to go find an imposter. As far as I can tell, there are specific NPCs that are able to be imposters. You'll know an imposter if you see an NPC wearing a dream hat, just talk to them and they'll warp. Go back to the NPC in the santa outfit and you'll get a piece of furniture. Do the same thing again, and you'll get a dream robe.

How to get a dream robe +1:
Do what's stated above in two different nations. You can get from nation to nation easily by giving little kids presents obtained once a day from the santa NPC.

Just an idea though...maybe the moogles have some conspiracy and want to destroy christmas O.O. As seen in the screenshot above the imposters like saying Kewpo or w/e :dozingoff. That makes me think that the moogles are the imposters, and are trying to stop the trees from bringing presents.

Edit: What Ames says isn't true, but she posted while I was posting @.@. On Unicorn we killed it in sandy, and it just repoped so people started cheering the tree on again.

Again, your goal isn't to kill the tree. diabolos bastok we 'killed the tree' within 2 minutes. and it yielded no reward. cheer the tree on, and make it get to the center of town.

Hmm.. first time I did it, I got the coffer, the next time I got 10 Brilliant Snows, then I got the Dream Robe. All in Bastok.

That happened to me, I needed more "joy" fame so I just traded the fireworks to kids to raise it. Than when I tried it again I got the robe.
