I have all 3 MH items, the Dream Robe +1 and Dream Hat +1 (both from this event). I have gotten all food items except the Roast Turkey and Candy Cane. I have been THF the whole time. I went in my MH and talked to my Moogle earlier today with a full inventory and it said I couldnt receive the Roast Turkey until I had room in my inventory. So I left and came back with room but didnt receive the Roast Turkey. I got the chocolate tree thing again. The items are just random from what I have seen. Also has anyone heard of a "wand" or "staff" that can be obtained from killing the treant? I've never heard of it but eveyone keeps talking about it.

Also has anyone found out the significance of the Candy Ring being a Rare item but not the other food items?

Put on a Dream Hat, Rambus. You can buy one from the event Moogles in North San d'Oria, Port Bastok, or Windurst Waters North if you don't have one.

I don't know the reasons for this (I assume it's random) but I can vouch for one of my LS-mates having this exact same thing happen (told a turkey was found, no inv space, given a chocolate log thing after).

Is there some order to when you get things from the furniture items? I got the platter first being a Sandy resident, but since then I got the coffer and the stocking at the same time, and I've gotten at least two, possibly three items from the coffer and nothing from the stocking.

I've got the Dream Hat, Robe, and Robe +1, and all the furniture items (except for a tree).

So far, my Moogle's given me two rolls, two black puddings, and one gateau (he tried to give me another by my inventory was full). No candy canes so far...

Well About the food , from my experience i got black pudding from my stocking i think it gives:
+4 INT -12HP +12MP from the looks of it maybe +4 mnd

ok it seems cheering the tree works, you have to cheer the tree to get the little quest to find the imposter, once you find that person you get a random item . to me its a good chance you will get the furnishings first then the robe +1. after getting all those i clicked in mog that gave me the gift to get the hat +1.

if you wair both +1's so will your NPC i read that long ago.

I got the candy cane from my stocking yesterday. BLM/WHM when I checked. Still no pudding, but that was the first item I got out of my stocking.

When the moogle gives you something seems completely random to me; oftentimes I go in with high holiday fame, with or without the christmas gear on and my moogle'll have nothing for me- I talk to it again later just in case and voila, it starts talking about finding something. Anybody know what the pattern is here?

how do i bring "barrelfuls of joy" to the children? ive traded over 120 fireworks and it still says "You've brought joy to the children of Vana'diel."
How many fireoworks do you need to trade?

The "Barrelfuls of joy" message only comes when you get a present from one of the Smilebringers and trade that to a kid.

Obtaining the Dream Hat +1
Place at least one of the tree furnishings that you can purchase from the Merchant Moogle stand in your Mog House. Also, make sure you you have given "barrelfuls of joy" to the children NPCs by trading them alot of the presents the Smile-Bringers give you or fireworks. Some time later, your moogle will give you a Special Present. Use this outside to obtain your Dream Hat +1!

A lot could mean almost any number. It would be nice if you could estimate how much stuff you traded
Also "some time later, your moogle will give you a Special Present." This does not say HOW to get the special present from the moogle, all it says is it will give it to you.

Ugh...

Ok, put a tree in your Mog House. Then go bribe a few kids. Personally, I think I gave away two presents from the Smilebringers and 10 Cracker fireworks. Afterwards, I went back to my Mog House, selected my Moogle, and spoke to him. Bam, instant gift. It's pretty much instantaneous as long as you've got a tree in place and sufficient holiday cheer.
